Fabulous location & completely  charming & original setting. The staff in the court hotel were extremely friendly, welcoming & helpful. The lounge was noisy to sleep in with the sound of traffic & people passing over the pavement above but we would definitely stay here again

Unique stay in a spacious room. However, very humid room a little bit neglected.
There was mold in both bedroom's and bathroom's wall. No cleaning during our stay. We took out the garbage by ourselves. 


Unique stay but the property a bit neglected

Staying beside the canal is really special, but the stairs is really steep and hard to carry luggage.
There is a kitchen and a laundry room. But kitchen wares aren’t clean enough. I feel the floor is not really clean.

Special but not clean enough

I and my husband stayed for 2 nights in Utrecht. It is hard enough to find a central hotel at reasonable price in Utrecht at this time of the year. There are not many choices. So this hotel turned out to be a good choice. 
It located just next to the small canal, not the big canal that is in the centre of old city, you walk around 10 minutes to get to the centre that is not far. 
The room is big enough and clean. Just you have to live with a little noise when vehicles passing on the road on the top of the apartment. The bathroom has good size. We had a small issue with the bathroom door. It made a terrible sound when we closed or opened it. It is quite dark inside our apartment, if you open the main door, its fine. Because the apartment is next to the canal, it has a very typical Utrecht view that we enjoyed it. However, they should clean a bit outside the apartment, looks a bit not clean. Also you will have to accept that there are some kinds of flies from the canal will get into your apartment. 
We paid slightly over €300 for two nights for 2 people that we think it was good for the location. 
Another thing is that this hotel doesnt have reception, you have to check in , check out, have breakfast, so on and so on in another hotel  called The Court that is about 4 minutes walking from this one. To be fair, they were very friendly. 
If you are looking for a central place for a short stay, good value of money, this place is a not bad choice. Enjoy the different experience. 

A short stay, good location

First impression, small, will be stuffy and noisy overhead. But the evenings in May get chilly so we didn’t have to worry about the heat.
These are one room studio apts which were previously old cellars. Ours had a very comfortable bed, good heating, nice bathroom and the hotel is a short walk away if you have any needs.
It’s quite private and sitting outside at the canal edge in the morning sipping coffee makes for a lovely start to the day.
My wife said the rustling of the wind in the large tree outside made her feel lazy, so if you want a slightly quirky place, quiet and lazy then this is your spot. For a longer stay you might want something in the actual hotel. But I’d recommend and the price is reasonable. Central to everything.

Down by the old canal

Clean room, decent and comfortable. Unique stay at the borders of the canal. Although you sleep beneath a street, you do not have any trouble falling asleep because of traffic noise. Breakfast is superb! 

Best price/ value in Utrecht

Utrecht is a brilliant place to stay. The apartment was clean, tidy and in a good location to walk around the whole city and go to the train station, to go to other cities in the Netherlands.  It was useful to have a washing machine and dishwasher.

Good place to stay very close to the centre of the old town,right next to a quiet canal.why does this box require me to write so many words? OK there were some ants in the room and some traffic noise from the road above.
