Stayed at this hotel with a bad experience!
First we did drive so that we was going to make it before the restaurant closed. We was there 21.30 and it said on all signs that it was open untill 22.00 every day. Same on the homepage. But nobody there and it was closed.
Then we had to call to find people to check in.
We had made reservation for suite executive. It didnt say anything that this was on second floor. And the suite was also seperated over two floors. Livingroom at the top floor and two bedrooms and a bathroom at the first floor.
No wifi, dust and dead insects everywhere. Spiderweb in the corners of the bedrooms. No fridge, only a winecooler that was so dirty inside that we wouldnt put anything inside it.
And the livingroom was so hot that it was useless to try to be there. No aircondition or fans.
Not recommended!

Terrible hotel!

I stayed two nights as I was around in business, and our local colleagues recommended this place. I understood from them that owner change has happened during recent years. The room was really big with a big living area and a bedroom. There was a sign on the table stating that "the room has been cleaned and desinfected before your arrival", and in this case it must have been two years ago. There was dust all over the place, not just thin dust flying around but thick layers of dust and dust balls on the floor lists and wall outlets. Didn't really feel "just cleaned". 

What was the worst was that there were spider webs with spiders in the corners of the rooms and in the bathroom under the sink. It was Halloween when I arrived, but this was a bit too much. I noticed it as I wanted to move a lamp and got spiderwebs all over my legs. At that time the personnel had left and I was about to go to bed, so I cleaned away the spiderwebs with the toilet brush. (Did not really feel so hygienic, but rather that than sleeping with spiders). The next day I did find a vacuum cleaner in the hallway and vacuumed the whole suite, but the vacuum was in grave need of emptying and cleaning itself as it smelled of old, rancid dog, after which my room smelled awful. (Glad that the doors could be opened..)

Breakfast was ready made and set on the table. I asked for a coffee with milk, there was no milk in the house. Next morning I asked for a cappuccino instead, and they said that they only have black coffee. (The breakfast was served in the hotel's restaurant, so quite difficult to believe that a cappuccino could not be made.) The croissant was buttery and flaky, which raises the overall experience.

Overall, the stay was really not what was expected and needless to state that during my next visit we will choose another accommodation.

A suite with spiders and dustballs

We stopped here at the end of our canal boat trip. It was actually a highlight of our dining experiences in the Netherlands. It was a fantastic stop after the canal boats, great spacious rooms, lovely restaurant and lovely owners. It made a wonderful ending to our experience in holland.

Great place, beautiful restaurant 

We ate at the restaurant.  It was a very nice place to go and eat.   My daughter and I spent 3.5 hours there. 
No rush at all. 4 course meal. Was fabulous and the best food i have ever eaten. I highly recommend this place. 
If ever in the area. You must stop there.  Service is top notch. Friend and unrushed. 



Restaurant a beautiful gem

I stayed for 3N on business meetings that was happening at Apollo Vinkeveen that was 1km away. I am glad I chose this place over Apollo itself. The morning walks were so pleasant.. Just to pass by beautiful homes. 

Approx 30min taxi ride from Ams Central Station. Quite easy to get ubers. 

Rooms are very spacious, super quiet, has a living area that opens up into a small canal like water body where you can sit and relax. Bedroom opens up to a nice lawn.. Rooms have a very pleasant decor, done in shades of white. Room has a kettle, a coffeemaker, nice toiletorie.

I am a vegetarian with some very specific "no"s. The chef was kind enough to make me a delicious pasta for lunch after I checkedin.. It was delicious.
Breakfast is simple- nice, cereal, bread and coffee /tea.

Charming little place.. Perfect

For our five day adventure in the Netherlands we use Villa Lokeend as our base. I was a easy train ride into Amsterdam and centrally located for our car tripping as well. The hotel is located very near the freeway but  you would never know it from the quiet feeling you get being there.

Five Wonderful Days in the Netherlands!

The room/suite was fine - it is not fair to complain about the intense heat this summer. The living-room is upstairs from the bedrooms, and was almost too hot to use at all - there was an air-conditioner upstairs, but it couldn't keep up. If that has not been an issue, the room was lovely and it was nice to have a spare room. The beds was great - no back-aches this summer. The location of the hotel would have been better, had we had a car. It was ok to walk to the bus, take the bus to Breukelen to take the train to Utrecht  - but when returning to Vinkeveen after a long day of sightseeing in Utrecht, it was a tough walk from the bus back to the hotel. Breakfast was alright - quality was fine, but we weren't impressed.
