I stayed for two long seperate periods of time in August and September (went to the island of Texel inbetween). I had room 2 on both occasions (there are four rooms). It has its own little sink/basin and I shared a bathroom and an extra toilet with whichever other guests were staying at the b & b at the time. 

The bed was lovely and comfortable, the pillow was great too. The room has a view out two windows of the laneway and the backyard of the house next door. One of the windows has a fly screen in it, but can only be reached by standing on a chair (luckily there is a chair in the room).  
There is also a celing fan, but to swtich than on you need to pull the pull cord which can only be reached by standing on the bed. 

The shared kitchen/dining/lounge was clean and is a nice size. Linda fixed us a lovely breakfast on two occasions and on other mornings we used the various supplied that had been stored in the kitchen to make our own.

The shared bathroom/toilet was clean as was the other separate spare toilet. My parents had room 4, which has its own ensuite with shower and toilet, and they were happy with this room. They did have a few nights in room 1, which also has its own sink like room 2, and they liked this room also.

The location is great. It takes just a few minutes to walk to the centre of town. It's also just a few minutes walk to Vlaardingen Central train station, but that station and Vlaardingen's other two train stations are closed at the moment, the train line is being turned into a Metro. This will be opened by 2018 sometime so I'm told. 

The entry to the guest quarters is not right on the street front, rather, you walk through a doorway down a laneway. This doorway is open during the day but we found it locked (obviously for security reasons) when leaving early in the morning and when returing late at night. Our room keys unlock this door but we found it tricky to open. It takes a bit if shoving and pushing. 

Noise levels were okay, what you would expect from the location. Cars, vespa scooters, dogs barking, the other guests talking. Also there is a little advertising company office located behind the b & b guest quarters entry, called The Mind Office and its employees sometimes made noise coming and leaving the office. The narrow laneway unfortunately helps to somehow take noises and amplify them at bit.

If you hire a car, there is street parking all around, but depending on the time of day, it could be hard to find one. 

In all, we had a pleasant stay.
