A family hotel with lots of corridors connecting the rooms.
We stayed in a room on the first floor, right above the Hotel bar room. Noisy in the evening. Breakfast is great. Dinner average.
Zeddam is a nice place with a great Mill.
The mill of Zeddam is a working medieval tower mill and one of the oldest brick mills of Western Europe. It was first mentioned in 1451

Good situated for nice walking área. The room we were given was nott too big,  with a very small bathroom with shower. Very nice staff , The  breakfast  was good and we had a good quality  meal  , we can recommand., just  a pity for the very strictly rools from the Boss..

Tipical  quite good village hotel

We stayed 2 nights at the Hotel de Uitkijk, Zeddam while visiting the 70th anniversary of Market Garden in nearby Arnhem. The hotel was comfortable, good value and the staff were very helpful. Breakfast was a mixture of continental and English, although this was not included in the rate (€12.50/person). We had one evening meal which was reasonably priced and wholesome. The Trappe beer was excellent. There is another restaurant on the opposite side of the road and some other facilities in the town of Zeddam which is a short drive.

Comfortable hotel in rural setting

This hotel tried 2013 to ask for more money than the hotel was showing on tripadvisor or booking.com. Even thought we had a firm booking they still wanted more money. They said it would be a mistake on the used internet page.

We insisted that we would not pay a single cent more. The stay was so so...

This year we booked again as the location is not too bad for what we are in the area.
We got our room confirmation on June 12th. Still last Friday June 27th when we arrived they said they would not have a room for us as they were overbooked and that this would again be the fault of the site we used to make the booking... So we had to look for another hotel. They send us to another hotel which was a nightmare and which asked more money that they usally do.

This information was given to us by an employee when we left in the morning because the hotel was so terrible and dirty... 

We also received the information that the Uitkijk often treats their online booking clients like this if they have customers who reserve on their owne site or telephone. This to avoid that they have to pay a part of the room rate to the online agency.

Ripp off on online booking customers!

We only needed a room for the night and were very happy with the room that we were given. It was clean, spacious, quiet and the beds comfy. We also ate our evening meal at the hotel and would recommend it, we both had chicken breast which came with chips and spinach.  The waitresses were all friendly and one recommended a walk to the windmill in the town.  The only thing missing is ability to make tea/coffee in the bedroom though I'm sure you could order one from the bar in the evenings.  Breakfast is an extra charge which, due to an early departure the next day we didn't take up. We would stay here again.
