Super clean, wonderfully welcoming and great hospitality! Would highly recommend this gem in the Banks Peninsula. Awesome breakfast too! It felt like we were coming home due to the warm welcome from Sarah.

Gem of a b n b in akaroa

We stayed 2 nights and were treated to the best of a B&B experience. From the meet and greet from Sarah to the sumptuous breakfast every thing was top notch.

Our room was well appointed with en-suite.

We were also well advised on local dining and our dolphin cruise.

Off street parking was a bonus

Luxurious B&B

We stayed for 2 nights to celebrate our friends special birthday. From the moment we arrived Sarah and the next day Sharon made our stay perfect. The rooms were lovely & the upstairs deck stunning for drinks before walking to town for dinner. Breakfast was great, cereals & lovely fruit especially the roasted tamarillo. Gardens were beautiful, would highly recomend Banks House.

Absolutely loved our stay at Banks House. It felt like we were at home! Sarah was very welcoming and helpful, the house and garden gorgeous. Fabulous ,generous breakfast. Highly recommend if you enjoy character homes. 

Wonderful Stay

Beautiful property and Sharon and Noel were very welcoming. The location is great, only a 5-10 minute walk from shops and restaurants. We had a balcony and partial view of the bay, which was lovely. The bathroom was completely modern and very clean. Breakfast was delicious with a great selection; the warm croissant was a real treat! Our names written on the chalkboard welcoming us was a fun touch

The soft furnishings in the room were a little fussy for our liking however fitted perfectly with the age and style of the house. There was no apparent heating in the room itself and so it did get a little cold, but there was plenty of bedding to wrap up warm

Beautiful house just minutes from town

Enjoyed a great room in a fabulous property with delightful balcony access in a very quiet location within easy walking distance of all that Akoroa has to offer both on land and at sea. Breakfast was an absolute joy.

Charming

Nice room, comfortable bed, easy short walk down into town to restaurants, shops etc.
Met by Sarah who welcomed us warmly and told us the history of the house.
Communal balcony off our room so had to be very careful about dressing/undressing!
Old house full of ornaments and chintz, felt somewhat busy and cluttered.  Continental breakfast, no cooked option offered.
Pleasant stay, a bit like stepping back in time.

One night stay

Excellent location and wonderful host Sarah. Breakfast set up impressive, but range of cereals and breads limitedBed comfortable, good shower. Some minor inclusions would improve overall stay- more power outlets, mirror (only one).

Boutique Accommodation

Location is very convenient and walkable distance to most of the main tours and eating shopping  places. Lake side view from guest room but hard to sit outside due to the strong smoke from nearby restaurants 

Location is very good

Bank House is beautiful. Sarah was a fantastic host and knowledgeable regarding the history of the property. The breakfast was amazing, just use better croissants, not the Pams ones.
Apart from that our experience was amazing and would recommend to anyone.
