Stayed in a self contained unit. Clean, tidy everything we needed was there. Good size television. Lovely swimming pool. Staff very helpful.Great pub with excellent food nearby. Also some takeaways on the Grove Road.
It was just what we wanted for a reasonable cost and a few days away.

Few days break in beautiful Blenheim

1-night stay in campervan. Fairly basic, & tired facilities seemingly with a lot of long-term residents. About 1-mile outside of Blenheim, just off the busy & noisy no. 1 highway & nr. railway line. 

Not much in the immediate area, though the Fidelio wine tasting bar was good value & about 1/2 mile away.

1-night camper van stay. Fairly basic site. Close to the busy & noisy route 1 main road.

Would say this is an average campsite. There’s lots of room and about a 20 min walk to town centre. Main downfall is the facilities. Toilets and showers were not good. Toilets clean and fine to use but sinks had old flannels on them and lots of bugs around. Would recommend showering at the block nearest reception rather than end of the campsite. Showers much better standard there!

Stayed in a motel unit...clean, comfy bed & great facilities. Good value for 2 bedrooms. Perfect for an unscheduled 1 night stay.  although in a row of units was quiet. Easy check-in and out. Thankyou

Good value 

Stayed Oct 2023 for one night, powered site. 
First off, yes this site is dated. Yes it is right near the fly over. But the facilities were clean, all worked and the staff were friendly. Prices are average especially when you start to park up on sites further south of Queenstown. Compared to those, this is cheap.
Thee is free wifi but it seems quite sketchy at times, probably due to the sheer size of the site.
We met some lovely people here and all seemed fairly satisfied with the site overall. 
Over 15 days, we stayed  at nearly as many camps all over the South Island and consider this to be average in the mix of them all. 
What lifts it, is to take a walk down by the river and see the black swans and other wildlife. The river runs crystal clear with views over the mountains and it is actually  very beautiful. 
One thing we noticed with several sites all over, is that the presence of ageing caravans that have obviously been static for many many years and have fallen into dirty, overgrown disrepair, spoils sites. And this site does unfortunately have it's fair share. 
Other long term residents however, have really gone to town, planting up lovely gardens full of spring colour. 
We also suffered an issue of irresponsible parking by (I think) long term residents, while we were using the dump station, causing issues for inexperienced RV rental drivers to get by. No attempt to move the car (parked semi blocking the access road) was made by the residents sitting outside drinking their coffee, just stares of disapproval from them. 

A satisfactory site for a nights hook up.

Afraid this was the worst campsite we stayed at during a month in New Zealand.

1) The place is tired and is no longer part of the Top10 franchise.

2) A busy main road travels through the campsite.  Very busy with lorries when ferries come into Picton.

3) Got woken at 4am each morning with the freight train going through the campsite on another bridge each morning.

4) Dozens of bikers arrived between 11pm & midnight one night over a period of 40 minutes, engines revving.

5) Next morning, woken at sunrise as a group of 20 people jump from the pedestrian bridge into the water then take over all the showers for half an hour.

6) Tourists with campervans are slotted in between permanent residents.

Top tip - avoid and stay in Picton

Worst campsite we stayed at in New Zealand.

Stayed here for 5 nights in our tent with our 2 pooches. Clean & close facilities with recycling facilities. BBQ’s in great condition & the park was great for friendly short strolls with the dogs whilst my partner was at work. I was working and needed the a good Wifi signal which was excellent as promised before arrival with the very helpful manager Leon. There’s even a little herb garden & the grounds are well maintained we’ve Just rebooked our next trip for later on in the month the location is perfect for Blenheim town & hospital.

Great stay.

We've actually stayed in the room we were moved to on another visit here. Its the reason we asked for a specific room. We don't like the SH1 noise, the retractable privacy screens as "bedroom doors", the master bedroom is so small you have to shuffle sideways into the room to get into bed and we have to lock up the unit and move to the other side of the park to keep an eye on the kids in the playground. 

The room specifically asked for (and was told was available at the time of booking) had solid doors for the bedrooms, was quieter for traffic noise, had a decent size master bedroom and was right in front of the playground so we could watch the kids from our room.

When I complained to the manager, he told me they moved us to accommodate a later booking and that the rooms are the same price so he wasn't going to do anything about it.

We're never staying here again.

Off the Wellington to Picton Ferry and doing the Blenheim Wine Trail ? Then this is the place to park over, beside a Dairy, a good Hotel, the Racecourse, and a short 5 mins walk to the centre of Blenheim.

Plenty of room and sunny grassy sites, they have Motels and Cabins, and excellent facilities.

The only Holiday Park in the area of this size, and with very friendly staff.

With over 25 years experience in the NZ Tourism Industry and many years travelling all over NZ I rate this in the top 10 for the South Island.

A Blenheim Campervan Base Camp

Nice place to stay, good location, clean only problem we found was no electric blanked in ensuite rooms. In winter and paying that price you expect electric blankets. Owner told us rooms had heat pumps. Heat pumps don’t heat beds in winter. Further electric blankets not expensive. Everything else was great. Best car wash I’ve found in motor home park. Buckets cloths and brushes, wash liquid and good water pressure.
