Recognising that this is a budget motel and the prices reflect this, I am amazed that anyone could rate it 4 stars. My 3 star rating is generous in my opinion. There are no smoke detectors which made me feel uneasy, there were stains on the carpet and on the curtains. Everything is very old style and I feel that a bit of attention could improve the units. On a positive note my bed was quite comfortable. The management were quick to respond to my email about my concern relating to the smoke detectors and they did say that some updating is planned for the future and smoke detectors will be included.,I don't think they should wait to install these. They also said hair dryers and irons are available on request at reception however we had no notice of this in the unit at the time.

Very budget - needs some work

The hosts are very friendly and helpful which makes a big difference (Many thanks Lance and Manuela). The units are spacious, clean, and tidy, and with reasonable tariffs. I stayed in a 1 bedroom unit and it was very comfortable and had everything I needed. There is plenty of parking and of course Hamilton is just up the road. Many thanks for another great stay while I was in Hamilton. I will definitely be back.

Great hosts and comfortable and clean units

Stayed here with my husband as it was one of only 2 motels that had rooms when the All Blacks played at Waikato Stadium. Unfortunately we ended up attending a funeral that weekend as well as being in town to visit family. We found the rooms to be very clean, and comfortable. The bed was very comfortable and had an amazing electric blanket. The rooms are dated but this did not worry us at all. The motel owner was very kind and made sure that we were happy and knew our way around Hamilton etc. on the morning of the funeral we left quite early - leaving dirty dishes in the sink and our bed unmade. When we got back to the motel, all our dishes were done and our bed was made, this was amazing. Would definitely stay here again. Only down thing was the height and pressure of the shower, otherwise all good.

Very clean and comfortable

I stayed here for one night and although the neighbours were having a bit of a barney next door, I have no complaints about the motel. The owners were excellent and very helpful. My room was clean, tidy and had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. Of course Hamilton is only a hop, skip and jump away. I will definately be back when in this area.
