as always our self contained tourist cabin was very clean and tidy. it was a cold wet day and it was warm and cosy. The shower pressure was great. the staff were friendly. and we were happy with the cost. Only thing i would suggest is to maybe put a sign at the goynes turn off so guests know where to turn off the highway. we will be back to stay.

overnight stay

Stayed here upon arrival into Christchurch. Chose to stay here as it was close to the airport for an overnight stay, before travelling around the South Island. 

Cabin was clean and compact, but had everything required for an overnight stay. Value for money. Hot shower, comfy bed and heating. Would stay again.

Overnight stay

Awesome place to stay before our holiday.  They stored our car while we were away.   Arranged the shuttle to take us to the airport and collect us on our return.   Great units, very clean and great price too.   Friendly staff.  Definitely stay there again.

Great location

Friendly staff!!! We stayed for one night in July in a self contained chalet, the room was lovely and warm, we woke in the morning to a heavy frost and had we had no idea until we looked out the curtain. Rooms were lovely and clean and we had a well set up kitchen(more than we expected), the beds were comfy, and the shower had strong pressure. would definitely stay again!

Warm night stay

Wow, what is there to say, except I am so disappointed. Firstly, there were cars parked everywhere around the island, making it difficult to manoeuvre the car around. Got into our unit, and the decor and bed spread are significantly dated. The shower pressure is abysmal, and the bed was far too hard. The pillows feel like they have been slept on by a thousand elephants. Poor quality motel. Will not be staying here, or recommending to other people. Two thumbs down.

Down hill fast

We stayed in a 2 room motel and the initial impression was cosy but a bit dated. Room was clean and warm and kitchen had all we needed. Only issue we found were the toilet didn’t have a latch, so not only could it not be locked you couldn’t trust door to stay shut which when you are staying as a group of 4 adults it isn’t overly relaxing, possibly just a recent mishap and will be fixed. Relatively small issue as overall for the price and location it is something you can work around. If you are looking for cheap, cosy and don’t mind a bit of dated decor this is the place for you, we would stay again.

2 night stay

We stayed in a two bedroom self contained unit, there were four of us.  The kitchen was very dated as were the shower and toilet.  Toilet absolutely freezing at  night.  Beds were comfortable, and the rooms were very well insulated against cold and noise.  Rooms were cleaned and clean towels every day.  We were staying here while looking for a house to rent, so stayed two weeks.  The general grounds looked like they needed a spruce up.  Since it is so close to the airport, people were staying here before or after their flights.  For people who had only just landed in Christchurch from overseas, it wasn't a terribly welcoming place.  Everything was adequate, but for what we paid, we expected more modern amenities.

Park needs some refurbishment

Checked in and we went to the room, extremely underwhelmed. they could see that we had a toddler with us but still decided to give us a room with bunks which i found extremely unsafe for my child. we ended up going to a friends for dinner and staying there the night. we went to check out in the morning to hand back the key. we informed them that we didn't end up staying and no refund was offered which i can understand due to the fact that we didn't inform them until the next morning .

Wouldn't do it again

We booked this camping ground for our extended family for a long weekend of family events in the Canterbury region. It was a great location for ease of access to the airport for all the pickups and drop offs and easy to find. It's close to good shopping so we could get the supplies we needed. It is close to a main road but once we were in our cabins we couldn't hear any of the road noise. The staff here are so lovely and helpful! Also the BBQs and kitchen facilities are great to be able to cater for a group. The showers and toilets are clean and spacious and we never had to queue even though the camping ground had the no vacancy sign up.

Great location, good for families

We used a powered site on this park - good sized site for parking. Facilities such as kitchen, loos, showers are kept clean but like the rest of the site it’s all a bit run down.
Very quiet place for an overnights stop
