As part of our NZ trip stayed here to catch up with family in Christchurch. Nice place with large rooms & very friendly and helpful staff. In a great location to walk to the city centre with shops & other amenities nearby, would definitely stay again

Great hotel

We had the studio next to the road, with our car parked right outside.  It was very private, very quiet, in spite of the road being just outside, but double glazing made it quiet.  Very comfortable bed, all amenities, very clean and very spacious.  Even had a selection of magazines in the room. Our hosts were so friendly and hospitable, offering umbrellas for any rain and shopping bags if needed.  It was so handy to cafes, restaurants and within walking distance of town or Merrivale Mall.  We will definitely stay there again and recommend it to others.

The best in quality, situation and price.

Wife and I stayed here due to my wife having a day operation at nearby St. George's Hospital. 
I initially rang to make sure they didn't host MSD/homeless people as many motels are hosting such people with the attached problems making them less desirable for the ordinary punter.
We were reassured they do not and any booking in regard to hospital ops was changeable if things change.
A very clean place, very comfortable couches in the lounge and a comfortable bed.
Would stay here again.

Pleasant stay close to St. George's Hospital

From the moment we arrived to the time we left, our time at Casino Court was wonderful. Our studio unit (with parking immediate outside) faced the busy road but the double glazing meant that sounds was minimal. The room itself was larger than expected and was immaculate, modern in decor and just "nice."
There's a good-sized fridge and a full-sized stove in the kitchen area, as well as a dining table, effectively separating it from the sleeping/living space.
Excellent motel overall and one which will surely get future business from us

Excellent motel

Stayed in a one bedroom unit. Matt and Reetah were very welcoming and accommodating. The shuttle service to and back from the hospital was above and beyond my expectations which took the stress out of travelling to the hospital each day. The unit was spotless, serviced daily, everything was there that I needed.

Great stay

Stayed at the Casino Court while on a visit to Chch Hospital. Very clean and tidy room with all our needs met. Friendly service and the owners were so obliging. Would recommend this motel to anyone staying in Christchurch. Thank you so much for your care and consideration.

Excellent Srvice

Our unit was nearest to the road but the double glazing cut out the traffic noise
A good sized studio unit with comfortable double bed. Very well presented an clean.
We were able to walk easily to the Cathedral area of the central city in about 10 minutes. Close to the Casino and a number of restaurants. Would stay here again.

Very comfortable and an easy walk to the Square

The host was very friendly and made us feel welcome.  We chose the two bedroom unit as it gave us plenty of space and the price was really reasonable plus I was looking forward to having a full kitchen.

Overall the unit was spacious, clean and well equipped.  Time and effort into maintenance is required though - the oven elements need to be looked at as they seemed to be either on high or off, the toaster was broken, as was the can opener - just little things but do contribute to the overall impression of the place.

The bathroom needs a complete refit as it is tiny, old and really lets the place down.  Parking for the two bedroom unit was excellent.

Our biggest concern here.  They had a notice in the compendium reminding guests to be security conscious and lock doors and windows at night and when out, which isn't an issue for us as we are security conscious anyway.  I was really unhappy to return to our room one afternoon to find that the bathroom window (which was at the very back of the entire property) had been left wide open by the cleaners.  The next day I left a "large" note requesting them to ensure they shut the window if they opened it so was even more unhappy to find that again they had left it wide open.  To be honest, if we did have a theft I would have alerted the police to a potential inside job.  

While I wouldn't want to question the honestly of the hosts or their staff, it does seem weird that cleaners are leaving windows wide open when they are warnings to guests about thefts in the area.

Good location, needs some maintenance

Good location close to restaurants and shops, approx 20-25 minutes from the airport. We had a studio room with a large double bed and a single, both were comfortable. The room was exceptionally large with good facilities and a large bathroom. a continental breakfast of cereal, milk and bread (toaster in the room) was supplied.
We asked for a quite room but unfortunately got the room right next to the road which was quite noisy at times. The owner was very friendly and helpful.

Large room

The studio (No. 4 in the DRC) was very good The owners are lovely, always ready to do you a favor. Didn't like the very slippery shower, I fell down. I told him to put a slippery rug available, because if it was a child or an elderly person, it could be very serious.
