After driving around looking for a freedom camp we gave up disgruntled we went to a caravan park & here we found a treasure. great hosts, very helpful 7 kind, Ended up being very happy apart from the rain. 

Savd the Day

We stayed here with a large group of 9 people spread over three motel units.  The campground is basic but clean and tidy, and the hosts are very friendly.  The room we were in was older, but clean and tidy and had everything we needed.  Good value for money.  We'll be back.

Great hosts, great vale, clean and tidy

We stayed here a little by mistake as I wanted somewhere closer to the Kauri Forrests. But it turned out really well. as we came up from Auckland went to see the trees, then back to Dargaville and then onto Paihia the next day. The host of this park are simply lovely and do everything they can to look after you.
We stayed in a cabin that was a converted freight train wagon - it was excellant!!!! Great shower etc, nice bed. you eat out on the deck but that was fantastic.
The park is close to facilities in Dargaville and really 2 nights here would have been better. We would def stay here again.

Great hosts!

Stayed here while on our Northland Trip and it has been amazing. The hosts were sincere and genuine in looking after our group, and made sure that we were well-looked after after a day of going to places. Thank you so much for your hospitality! Well recommended!

Great Hospitality

Very welcoming  to us and our three dogs and so tolerant of us turning our parking site  into  an auto repair shop while we fixed a broken fan belt in our bus. The managers were so helpful, yes some road noise which is to be expected given the location but also just a short walk to a Countdown, the Warehouse and a Subway.  Thanks so much for your hospitality.
