We flew into Christchurch with no real plans. 

The weather was good so we drove south arriving in Dunedin about 5pm with no accommodation booked.

A quick look on TripAdvisor and we saw the Roslyn Apartments. 
A quick Google search and we called the property. Some 5 minutes later we were greeted by the friendly owners and adorable dog.

The apartment had an awesome view overlooking Dunedin, surrounding hills and Harbour.

Immaculately clean and spacious with everything close by including eateries a 2 minute walk away.

The owners gave a wonderful list of tips and places to go and see.

Covid has taken a toll on small businesses  like this and I would thoroughly recommend supporting the Roslyn Apartments. 

TripAdvisor only allows 5 stars.....this is a star above that. We will definitely stay here again if in Dunedin. 

Excellent Place to Stay

Roslyn Apartments is an awesome place to stay whilst traveling in New Zealand. Spacious, super clean, great location on the hill with wonderful views. All of the amenities that I haven’t seen anywhere in New Zealand including: washer, dryer, dishwasher, stovetop, full fridge/freezer, all of the dishes, shampoo, conditioner, soap etc. In a safe, quiet area with local shops/restaurants nearby. Perfect home base while visiting Dunedin, if I lived here I would definitely make it my long term stay in Dunedin. Great hospitality, cleanliness, everything you could want or need 😊 John and Jay are amazing people, kind hearts, and here to make your stay special.

Super clean, fresh home base in Dunedin

Fresh new feeling apartment with all facilities needed for our family to use as a base to explore Dunedin. Magnificent views. Located close to supermarket and cafes. Jay is a friendly and helpful host.

Comfy and clean with views.

Stayed 3 nights at Roslyn. What a nice comfortable apartment, beautiful view, love the location and the owners were so helpful and nice. Highly recommend a stay here if you’re visiting Dunedin. Walk to local shops and restaurants, supermarket has all your needs for a night in and the apartment has super fast internet which was excellent. Netflix and prime all there on the TV.

Great place to stay

I stayed here for four nights and fell in love with my apartment room. Everything you need is provided: towels, shampoo and conditioner, coffee and tea, all the kitchen amenities, heat pump, etc. The TV was lined up with an awesome DVD selection, and the bed (with two comforters on it for extra coziness in winter!) was so comfortable. After weeks of sharing dorm rooms and showers in hostels, it’s the perfect place to relax and have your own space. Just up the hill from the main city areas, it has a stunning view over Dunedin. And there’s a bus that runs nearby if you don’t have a car or don’t feel like walking. Can’t forget the adorable dog the owners have: Charlie! He is a basket of adorable. Thanks again for the lovely apartment and stay! 

Stunning apartment and view!

What an amazing stay we had for three nights. Absolutely beautiful apartments and exceptional views. Our hosts and owners Jay and John were absolutely super and Charlie the receptionist is a treasure. We congratulate Jay and John for providing a well furnished place which felt like home. Extremely clean and the provisions like body wash, hair  and cleaning products were all high quality. These appartments are a true credit to them and should you get the chance to stay...we highly recommend.

Absolutely amazing 

I  stayed at the Roslyn Appartments for a week. It was pleasure to stay here, with great views of the City. Short walk down hill to town I walked back up everyday, it sure is a walk back up best be fit. Also it's a very short drive to town.  There are some  restaurants, cafes and a store right down the road.  My three favourite things here was the view and the bed, it was most comfortable stay so far, and it's so quite here at night you'll get a good sleep.  Also the owners were super nice and helpful, and thier cute dog Charles was a cuite.  Thanks Jay and John for a great stay.

Great stay!

A little bit away from the centre of town, but I found the walk downhill easy-took a taxi back up the hill! Apartment had all the facilities one needed and was very comfortable and warm. Good views as well! A short walk to cafes, shops and restaurants.

Very comfortable and spacious unit.

We stayed here two nights as a family (2 x adults 2 x kids) and it was perfect. A short drive to town but nestled in the beautiful suburb of Roslyn and less than a minutes walk to great cafes (Rhubarb the best!), restaurants and amenities including a supermarket. 
Apartments were well appointed with everything we needed including a large balcony with outdoor dining overlooking the city and harbour. Just stunning. Beds were comfortable and warm and kids loved the jet bath. 
If I could nitpick it would be no Sky for my husband to watch the rugby but otherwise the perfect place for a family visit to Dunedin!

Location, views, convenience. The ideal solution!

The Good Lord found this place for us. After my Husband had a fainting spell on our cruise ship and was checked OK at the hospital, our ship had sailed without us. Everything in the city was booked, but after calling places Roslyn Apartments was suggested to call. I did. They had one apartment left. We said YES. This couple went way beyond helping us. We had not eaten since the ship that morning. She brought us cheese and crackers. This 2 bedroom apartment had everything you could ask for to live for several months if need be. I could do laundry, cook etc. Everything is close by if you want to have a coffee, grocery shop, restaurants and bus stops. Wonderful view right out our front windows. Very quiet. They helped me make plane reservations and hotel reservations to meet our ship in Melbourne. If we would ever go back to New Zealand I would stay at the Roslyn Apartments in a heart beat.
