We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, older style rooms but they have everything you need and are very comfortable. Thank you Debbie for a wonderful stay, you were very kind to us, will definitely stay again when in town 

Excellent service 

The apartment was clean and tidy, however it was a little run down,  i thought the price for a studio was a little bit overpriced. The toilet and bathroom are narrow. The host was friendly which was nice. It is nice to be out of town, close to the beach.  Grocery shop and grog shop 5 min drive.  Our studio was around the back, was nice and quiet,  i liked being away from the main st

Ok hotel, nice host

Very comfy beds but otherwise the unit was very tired needing a lot of work. There is 1 separate toilet (tiny!) and a separate shower (tiny!) but sleeping 9 people in 3 bedrooms it would be very crowded if there were actually 9 in the unit! It is a short walk to the beach.

Very tired and overpriced motel. 

This is a moderately priced, old-fashioned concrete block style motel which is kept well maintained.  We stayed in a studio unit with a queen and single bed in the main room which had good heater and comfortable sitting area.  There's a small well equipped kitchenette, and separate shower, handbasin and toilet.    Recommended for a couple on a budget and perfect for a short stay of 1-3 nights.

Reasonably priced and comfortable

Great location for what we needed. Had all the facilities and bedding options we required. Friendly staff who are very helpful and knowledgeable of value for money tourist attractions. Rooms were serviced daily.

Great sized units for groups needing accommodation

Super friendly. Heater had been put on for our arrival. Beds clean, lots of towels. Had 3 bed apartment.  One bathroom. Door wouldn't shut on toilet or shower. Shower handles fell off every time we used it. Wiring in kitchen dodgy. Had to tilt microwave at certain angle to get it to work. No microwaveable bowls to heat food. Laundry good but expensive at $5 a load. Very close to beach. 

Friendly but falling apart

Recently we stayed at the Beach Lodge Motel with a group of 15 students. They were so accomodating to us and made us feel very welcome.  The rooms were cleaned of rubbish daily and the students dishes were washed properly and put away. The students were really impressed to come back each day to a tidy unit and this encouraged them to keep it tidy too. I would highly recommend this as a place to stay with a group as its off the road and safe. The basketball hoop was a hit for down times with the boys!

Group Booking

Our ice hockey team (20 players and helpers) had a great 4 days at the beach lodge. I minute from the ice rink and 2 mins to St Clair.  Staff couldn’t be more helpful. Already booked in for next year.

Fantastic host.

Lovely clean rooms with great cooking facilities. Very close to the beach and Natalie told us about Back Beach at Port Chalmers so we went for a beautiful walk looking at the boat houses then to the pub for a great lunch. Very helpful staff.

Clean and Cozy

Apon arrival we were warmly greeted by the owner Natalie, she showed us to our room, which was warm and ready to go as the staff had already gone out of their way to turn on the heater and electric blankets for us.
Unit was exceptionally clean and the staff who serviced our unit the next day were friendly and helpful.
I highly recommend Beachlodge if you are looking for a quite off the street motel.
We will definitely be returning when we are back down this way..
