Spacious, well-appointed apartment with lift access and designated car park. Facilities were of a very high standard, including a well-appointed modern kitchen. Two large bedrooms, each with separate toilet. Excellent location - just across the road from the beach and close to restaurants. Side views to beach and nearby mountains.

We rented THE LOOKOUT for a family holiday for a week in February 2024. (6 Adults, 2 Children 3 and 7mths) Magnificent views, House was very clean and all amenities were as described. Plenty of room with two living areas was great with my daughter and partner taking downstairs with 2 children and two adult couples upstairs. Absolutely loved the area and will be back.

THE LOOKOUT HOLIDAY RENTAL KAIKOURA

Apartment 7 is probably the best apartment we have ever rented and we have rented a few in the last 30 years. It was spotlessly clean, spacious, bright / airy, fantastic first line sea views of Kaikōura with a choice of 2 furnished balconies. 2 large bedrooms, 1 with TV, and 2 bathrooms, 1 with excellent laundry facilities. The bed was super comfy with high quality linen. Every appliance worked well. Shining dishes from the dishwasher to hot power showers. Well stocked pantry cupboard with complimentary milk. We loved our time here and wished we could have stayed longer. We were also offered a late checkout which helped us enormously with our ongoing travel arrangements. A short walk into Kaikoura town centre, bus and train station. Lots of whale watching opportunities and local crayfish restaurants in abundance. If you are travelling to Kaikoura look no further. There are a few flights of stairs, with no lift, to reach this top floor apartment which could be a challenge to people who are physically challenged. Other than that 11/10.

Amazing apartment

We stayed at Mountainview with 3 adults and 2 children aged 5 and 9. Was absolutely perfect for our stay. The highlight was the mountain view and outdoor seating to sit and watch the view. Plenty of rooms for us all, kitchen was very well equipped and location is easy driving access in to town.

Fantastic stay one of the best,

We had a lovely couple of days in Kaikoura watching the dolphins and walking the peninsula. The apartment was very well equipped and had amazing views over the coast. 5 mins walk into town. Excellent cafe 2 mins away.
Alison (the host) was very helpful and responded to enquiries quickly. 
Would definitely recommend to stay here.

Lovely apartment with great views close to town centre

Our first visit to Kaikoura so appreciated the location of this spacious house. Loads of room for the 3 of us, even with 5 weeks’ worth of luggage. Luckily we knew what the building looked like as no sign that we could see of the house name. Very easy parking and lovely flowers too. Everywhere inside was clean and well organised, lots of crockery and cutlery making using the dishwasher possible. We also used the washing machine, a great help on a long trip but as the weather was grey, a folding rack to put the clothes on would have been useful. When the sun came out, we used the line although on tip toe stretch for me!
The beds were extremely comfortable and the bedding offered warm/cool options. The bathroom worked and the shower was a pleasure. 
We liked the location because of it being situated between the seal colony and the town, a walk to either. A favourite aspect was the stunning beach, even on a drizzly day it was awesome. And visible from the living room window! Those settees are great, new, comfortable and huge. The recliner also was a hit, much enjoyed. 
Thanks very much for a lovely visit. Good value too for the size and quality of the accommodation.

Catch and Relax

We stayed at The Lookout over Christmas and it was a really fabulous place to stay. So much room! Two large living areas, two full bathrooms and 4 generously sized bedrooms. There was also a large, enclosed garden with a fabulous patio and barbeque area. The views were fantastic and the house had everything you could need. The perfect place to stay with the family, quiet but close enough to everything we wanted to see and do.

Christmas at The Lookout

Beautiful house very well designed inside and out. Stayed for two nights here, easy check in, close to town and beautiful mountain views. House was spotless and had amenities available too. Thanks again!

Mount Fyffe Home

Lovely place. Kitchen and bathroom waa very clean. There are plenty of seating inside and out. There was everything that needed in the kitchen. Check in was easy, great communication and easy to deal with. I will be coming back again in the future
