Vehicles travelling North from Christchurch are advised to leave the city by 17:30 to ensure they get through to Kaikoura before the road closes at Oaro at 19:15. People travelling North of Kaikoura towards Picton need to use the alternate inland highway route 70 and through Lewis Pass (State Highway 7) to Spring Junction, and then along SH 65 to Murchison and SH 63 to Blenheim & Picton. Please note that due to the recent earthquake, some roads are closed and alternate routes may need to be taken to access the property.
