Can’t thank these people enough - they found a room for me when my travel agent had messed up a booking elsewhere. Room was clean, tidy and quiet, and staff were friendly and helpful. Would recommend. 

Lifesaver in Lincoln

My in-laws stayed here from Australia while they attended a family function, the bar staff were amazing but that only, unfortunately the room that was provided for my Father  and Mother in law was not ideal , there was no where to hang there clothing and the fridge in room happened to freeze their milk 😞 on their last night of their stay they went for breakfast and came back to find there room had already been locked over an hour prior to checkout😡 the meals were good and overall this is a great pub but would not recommend the accommodation side of it !

Wouldn’t advise

Really enjoyed the Famous Grouse. 

The bar was pumping when we arrived but the restaurant was pretty much empty.

The staff greeted us straight away and were really friendly. 

I liked the that menu wasn't crowded and my fiance and I both chose the Fettuccine dish.

Far out. What a dish. Only cost $22 as well. Highly recommend. The flavors were awesome.

Good selection of beers and we were offered desert at the end of the meal.

The staff were really good and check on every now and again. 

Overall a really good night. Highly recommend 

Epic Fettuccine 

A great location in Lincoln as it's right in the heart of town, and with the accomodation being above the pub it's great to be able to have a meal and drink on site. There is a good range of types of meals for a pub- I had a caesar salad which was delicious. T
he staff are good communicators, and very helpful, particularly Sandy. 
The rooms were simple, clean, cosy and nicely decorated. The only thing we were really disappointed about were the cool showers on Sunday morning (after a night out at a dress up party, when we really needed one). 
All in all, the general consensus would be to stay again, and hope the wee issues like the shower would be ironed out. Thank you!

Handy in Lincoln - Christchurch

We arrived late into town and went here for dinner around 815pm.  They were still cooking and nothing was a problem.  Service was fantastic and meals were excellent value for money.  Atmosphere and decor was lovely and homely.  We will def be back again.

Lovely meal and great atmosphere

2nd visit here. Great pub grub. Friendly service. Thoroughly recommended. We shared a good sized garlic loaf as an entry and ordered a lamb roast and a 250gram rump steak. The food arrived quickly despite the place being relatively busy. Portions were of a decent size...none of your minute fancy art sized modern cuisine portions here! The fries were crisp and hot, the salad tasty and the steak cooked exactly as ordered. Exactly the tucker you need on a cold winters night. Including one handle of Speights the bill was $66 which compares well with the likes of Speights Ale House which is a bit of a standard bearer for this sort of nosh.

If your out and about this is the place. Great staff, good vibes,  and the food...amazing...husband had a steak.  I had The Roast....Best Roast ever. $13 Roast on a Sunday.  Will definitely be back. Currently in Food Bliss.

Dinner

We cannot thank the owners of this establishment enough. Great food and a fantastic atmosphere. They are lovely people and perfect hosts. Hoping to see them all again soon! The funny looking guy Leroy is actually a really nice chap also.

Grouse staff the best

The location is prime, but who needs to go anywhere when you have such a nice pub just below your room?  The rooms are clean and cozy and the service was superb.  We weren't there many nights, but enjoyed our stay  and the delicious food and warm and inviting atmospher.

Pleasant Hotel with Excellent Pub

Outstanding service, great menu and food was super delicious.

Warm and inviting restaurant and bar. Had the fire roaring on a super miserable night. The service was great with waitresses checking in throughout the meal and refilling drinks as necessary. Felts and activity sheets provided for the kids. Great night out and kids looking forward to our next meal there.
