This accommodation has free transfers from and to the Airport. Make sure to ring to obtain details though of how to get your transfer especially if out of daytime hours. I did try and email the hotel for some enquiries but never got a response. Basic amenities suited us just somewhere to sleep after a late night flight arrival. A little noisy but soon as on main road. 

Airport Overnight

I've stayed here before but this stay wasn't at all good. 
Our room smelled as though a group of smokers had been staying inside. It smelled so awful but as we arrived late we had no realistic alternatives. 
The kitchenette was so poorly provisioned it didn't have enough utensils or plates for one or two people. No toaster and the microwave was too high to reach easily.

The shuttle service is good but the car was smelly.


Horrible this time

We stayed here overnight only as a stopover for connecting flights.  We didn't expect much due to the pricing, but it was seriously disappointing.  My biggest complaint was the empty condom packet on the bathroom windowsill which lead to me wonder whether the room had actually been cleaned.  We arrived at night, and the room had all windows open despite it being a freezing cold night, and even though they advertise it, there was no heating at all in the room.  The bed had only one fleece blanket, with no others in the wardrobe so I had to go to reception for another.  The pillows deflated to nothing as soon as you put your head on them.  The man at reception was accommodating but I would not say friendly as didn't say a word to us on the way from the airport to the motel.  Reception had a disgusting smell and was very outdated.  If you're wanting a very basic cheap stopover then this place might be for you, but don't expect much at all.  I have no desire to stay here ever again.

Smelly, cold and uninviting

We  stayed one night. Area is not nice. Facilities are basic. Not comfortable either. You need a vehicle as well because not walking distance to airport. Building is  also old. Need bit of renovation. If you get room in upstairs as we did bit of struggle get luggage's up.

Not a great place

I have traveled far and wide around the world and have been fair with my reviews. This review is no different.
I should have taken the first hint when they emailed me to say they had overbooked and could we find another place. We booked 10 months earlier and I refused. They found us a hotel, nearby. We would pay the same price but they would cover the difference. Perfect. A week before our arrival they suddenly had a room for us and would not let us stay at the other place. Quite surprisingly it looked like the entire motel was available.

On arrival, we waited for our shuttle. The male driver was quite rude and spoke little on the way to the hotel. Because we arrived at 7 am we left our luggage at the office area. The room I put our bags in was filthy enough that I would not show it to my wife. Once I saw dirt and dirty dishes piled everywhere I knew we would eat breakfast elsewhere.
On our arrival back we went to our room. Very disappointing. TV Remote was broken. Door knob to bedroom was broken, ( eventually fixed by rude man) several handles on drawers missing completely, locks to Windows missing. No toiletries but soap.
Bed not too bad. No restaurant on site and closest was 1 mile away.
Lady that seemed to run the place ( Kim) barely spoke understandable English.
The only redeeming feature was a close by bus to downtown that cost $14 NZD return per person.
The outside of the property is decrepit. Building looks like it could fall down. Needs a complete renovation. Better yet, demolish, rebuild and have better management running the place.
This place is over priced for what you get.
Stay away.

Avoid this place like the plague

I booked this hotel over 6 months ago for my trip in August. I got an email this morning asking for me to cancel my reservation as they had overbooked, our flight in to Auckland arrives very late so we needed a hotel with 24/7 reception as well as a shuttle service - safe to say there there is nothing left at a decent price range. After reading reviews I've decided to go with an Airbnb instead and save the hassle of not getting room after a long day of travel. Seems like I'm not the first person they've done this to and I surely won't be the last. Save your time, energy and stress and go somewhere else.

Seriously, how do you over book a hotel? Save yourself the stress and stay somewhere else

A hotel with few amenities, but very close to the airport and at an excellent price, with free shuttle service, and a large, well-equipped family room, a supermarket five minutes away.

Good alternative price/quality

The facilities were spacious and the equipment and furniture very well preserved, almost new. Gigantic screen TV, however, with conventional antenna image, picking up only one channel. The reception was very shy and tight and the transfer to the airport was delayed.

We spent two non-consecutive nights in this hotel during our one-month stay in New Zealand, near the airport and Auckland to visit the city, and we were two couples with a good value for money.
