Thus place should not exist the landlord is the worst type a people alive he makes tenants live in his filthy building with no shame he has also recently  allowed and supported  a tenant to have a prostitute brought in fee times a week a real winner Jessica ginish along with her child 16 yrs old boy whom had to live with her lifestyle and curby knew it but was ok because he charged the tenant extra to have a guest come in or in their words lady friend this is despicable  as a landlord he should be accountable  and charges its illegal to charge tenant money to have visitors its also illegal to deny tenants to have visitors which he does but allows certain ones land lord tenant acts states its Illegal  whether its privately owned building or not he breaking the law along with illegal construction  and plumbing hes installed  which was never inspected to see if it met requirements because he never reported the work he had no permit..if tenants bring any of these matters up he and the superintendent threatened tenants with eviction and did evict one fir letting guests in and made him pay 40 dollars for having guest that's illegal  this scum lord needs to be shutdown now

Not far from the airport. If you have no car they offer you pick up with own van. Accommodation is basic, but comfortable. Good solution for late night arrivals or early morning departures! At moderate prices.

conveniently located

The people appeared friendly enough but they really need to look around at what else is available nearby at better rates. This should be advertised (and priced accordingly) as a cheap backpackers guest house. Very old and run down & should have reinvested in maintenance.

No No

My sister and I had a carcrash and had to go home. We were stranded. Our travelagent made a reservation at this Lodge; a light in time of our needs. Picked up very!!! friendly by Scott. At first we thouht the lodge was old en everything but nice...WRONG indeed (as early Linda D. discribed). It is old but very clean, nice extra's in giving you a feeling home far from home. Scott is a very friendly guy and helps you where-ever he can. Thank you! We're safe home now.

A warm welcome

Single woman staying in a hotel where the front door did not even lock. Noisy rooms and unprofessional staff.

Very expensive and no customer service. Dangerous avoid this place. Run down and in need of repairs.

Avoid this place at all cost

Booked here at the last minute so we didn't have to drive to Akl overnight. I thought sharing a bathroom would be fine, Then I began to read some of the reviews and decided I'd made a huge mistake. WRONG...it was absolutely fine. Scott was friendly showing us around. Recommended places to eat or buy if we wanted to cook our own food. Our room was spotless with fresh linen. The bathroom across the hall was adequate, lots of hot water. The dining/sitting room was huge,clean and warm. No it wasn't the Ritz or even a Travelodge but it was a clean budget lodge as described and I would definitely go again

No problems

It's better to sleep on the airport carpet than in this place. Expensive, very noisy, the walls of the rooms are compensated, it's impossible to sleep because of the constant quarreling of the guests. The room has no TV, no Wi-Fi, the common bathroom, at a price of 105.60 NZ$ a burglary. Avoid this place.

We booked the accommodation after our New Zealand vacation as a springboard for the return flight. It's a very simple but clean accommodation, in the kitchen is all you need, and there's a 5-minute walk to 2 restaurants and 1 breakfast restaurant and a supermarket. We had a room with 2 single beds, which unfortunately were so hard that we didn't really sleep. Besides, it's extremely bright, in the next room they talked or watched at night, I don't know, but we couldn't sleep because it was so loud. All for arrival or departure, etc., but no recommendation for longer.

Friendly, very simple, very clear-eyed

We stayed here for one night. The owner is really nice and helpful. Everything is very clean and neat but simple. There are cafes and shopping nearby. A bus runs in different directions nearby. The shuttle service was very practical and on time.

The Skyway Lodge is located just 4 kilometres from the airport and offers a convenient pick-up and drop-off service for (currently) 5 NZD One-Way. The owners are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are functionally equipped and clean. Wifi is offered at a very reasonable price for New Zealand of 3 NZD (30 min.) and 7 NZD (unlimited). There is a very comfortable lounge, a pool behind the main house, several shops (one in each house) and adequate bathrooms (shower/WC). Shopping is available in the immediate vicinity (approximately 5 minutes), as well as in Mangere Town Centre (approximately 20 minutes).
