Hello,

My wife and I stayed with you on Thursday 09/11/2023 in unit 5.  According to your website (and the compendium in our unit) you can provide continental breakfasts.  When we checked in we asked the gentleman on reception if we could order 2 continental breakfasts for Friday morning.

The response was " we don't do breakfasts."  As we were having an early start, this meant that we couldn't get breakfast in Masterton before we left.

To make things even worse, a party was going on outside about 4 units further down.  This finally stopped somewhere between 1:30am and 2 am.  I rang the after hours number listed in the compendium and went to a voicemail that did not identify itself as being associated with Amble Inn and was just asked to leave a message for a named individual.

Sorry to say this was a disappointing stay and we won't be back the next time we are in Masterton.

This is one of the best motel I’ve stayed in. We are a family of 4 and found the room spacious and generous. Beds and pillows were comfy and clean. Small kitchenette in the room, for simple cooking. Toiletries replenished each day. There is laundry and dryer available, just see staff for assistance. 

Room is serviced very tidily and to a high standard each day, thanks to Anne, our room housekeeper. Resham the manager is helpful and goes the way out to help. Fantastic service. Good central location, near supermarkets. Very comfortable stay.

Comfy room, pleasant stay

Clean, fantastic staff at reception. Nothing was a problem well serviced. The room was spotless. Would come back next time and would recommend. Shower pressure was the best ever.  Poor man at reception, had to call him back 3 times to reset tv but nothing was too much for him

Awesome service

Stayed here Jan 22, I’m sorry but I would have thought  most properties would have air conditioning.  A/C is listed in the property amenities, however only 2 rooms actually have a/c. I don’t think you should have to click on each individual room to find a/c, we were in a “superior room” and paid reasonable $$ for this. In close to 30 deg heat, I’m sorry but fans just do not do the job.  While I a, aware the property has recently changed hands, they should not be advertising A/C in property amenities when only two have it. Not a nice stay I’m sorry to say.☹️

Too hot! No A/C as listed!

Just a one night stay but we wouldn’t hesitate to stay again. The motel was easy to find and the owner was friendly and welcoming. The room was clean and had everything we needed. The beds were comfortable and the pillows were fluffy. Overall a very positive experience!

A very positive experience!

I have been here before and loved it. But today no milk in fridge waited 2 hours for milk to arrive then went to get kettle, no kettle so had to ask again . The reception area is dirty and dusty looking. Just not the same experience . Sad really cause beautiful place.

Not as before

Stayed four nights this week and the accommodation was very clean and comfortable.the whole team at this complex go the extra mile to make sure that your stay is comfortable. Keep up the good work team.

Very friendly team

Convenient overnight stop. While the room wasn’t large it had everything we needed for one night. We used the kitchenette to prepare dinner and it was well set up. 
The host was very nice and walked us to our room despite the rough weather that night.

Our hostess could not have been more kindly towards us.  The unit was immaculately clean and tidy, perfect for us.  Comfortable bed, warm unit, it had everything we could possibly need.  It was very handy to food outlets.  The information folder was comprehensive.  Easy parking.  Highly recommended.

We stayed for one night in a Studio Unit

We stayed here afew years ago before the new owners and I almost didn't book here after the last experience, but I'm glad I did because it was so good. They washed and dried out kids clothes from the beach at no extra cost. The room was warm, clean tidy, and quiet.  It was the fist place in a 10 day trip that had all the sky channels and was cheaper then anywhere else we stayed. Hands down great stay. The owners made it that cherry on the top. So nice
