Unit was very clean and comfortable.  Friendly host greeted us. Great location near the national park. Kitchenette was well supplied with toaster, kettle, microwave etc. Great supply of bathroom and kitchen items (soap, tea, coffee etc). Definitely recommend.  

Great stay out of Nelson

Asked for a ground floor spa unit, and it was great.  The rear view was of a huge field and the mountains, and from the front you could see the garden BBQ area.  The kitchen was well appointed and included a little breakfast bar.  In the lounge area there was a good size sofa that every guest immediately said was super comfortable.

The spa was a great size and although it was a shower over bath situation, there was enough flat area to be able to stand without slipping.

Large and quiet.

We booked direct and were confirmed  with the motel well ahead of time in July 2021 for a two bedroom unit for 3 persons for a one night stay in January 2022. 

On arrival, the owner told us she had made a mistake and  our 2 bedroom unit was now occupied and we were given a one bedroom unit. Sleeping arrangement was one bed in the lounge and one double bed in the bedroom.

As it was a one night stay, we reluctantly stayed, without any concession from the owner in the form of an apology.

So take heed that your requested booked accommodation may not be what you get.

It was a hot night during our stay, and there is no air conditioning. One portable fan was provided  in the bedroom, and no cooling for the lounge. Hence, a very restless night.

Location was convenient, easy walking distance to restaurants and supermarket.

We paid $225NZ for our stay.

Poor management, room ok

Had a studio unit upstairs. It was extremely comfortable,  light and spacious with its own deck area. Friendly welcome and walking distance to supermarket, shops and restaurants. Would definitely stay again. Thank you :))

Modern motel close to town

We took the upstairs one bedroom unit asI loved the green wide outlook onto the hills. The beds were comfy and the sound proving between the lounge and bedroom surprised us, no snoring heard, lol!
The unit was clean with a lovely comfortable couch. The bathroom was spacious with a great shower. 
There is plenty of parking and close to town. 
Booking direct gave us a good price.

Spacious and clean

Phoned Motel directly and asked for a standard double room for three nights. Was quoted $150.00 per night. Paid on arrival and out of curiosity that afternoon checked price on Booking. Com and found standard double $137.00 per night so would have been cheaper booking with booking.com. Did discuss this with owners who said we were put in a larger room and hence the cost. Did not ask for a larger room and assumed it was a standard room as booked. They said if we book through booking.com they loose 15% but booking direct we lost a lot more. Room was clean and tidy but needed bedside tables and a lamp as the light switch was away from the bed and was a trip hazard making your way back to the bed in the dark. Next to guest laundry was not fun as people doing washing between 10pm and 11pm despite notice saying not to. Needs a lock on laundry door to stop guests doing this and waking other guests.
Would return but will book through booking.com. Hopefully broken light switch in bathroom of room 5 has been fixed.

Don’t book direct with motel

Very clean, well appointed rooms and friendly owner. We were there with a large group of respectable, but dirty motorcyclists on an adventure riding tour and we were very well looked after. Would definitely be happy to go back.

Motorcycle Friendly

Inside and out this motel is immaculate .  The grounds,  gardens and unit were beautifully fresh and clean.  The unit was a good size and had everything needed. 
A lovely place to stay.  Would recommend staying here .

Immaculate

This is a great Motel. We had an executive suite on the second floor. Really well appointed and comfortable. Spacious room and large bathroom. Balcony as well. Pleasant friendly Manager. 
Would definitely come back here.

Excellent

We stayed in a 1 bedroom unit for two nights prior to walking the Abel Tasman. The room was spacious and very clean overlooking open paddocks. The design of the units means that it is very quiet and the location is a very close and easy walk to the shops and restaurants. We enjoyed this so much we returned after our tramp and booked a spa unit for a night. Our hosts were great to deal with.Definitely recommend this option when in Motueak
