Disappointed after reading positive reviews with regards to cleanliness and comfort. Plunger coffee supplied but no Plunger, had to wash all crockery and utensils as food and grease on everything, no sky tv for $130. Per night. Very basic, bedding grubby marks but sheets were clean, towels ok. Check in experience the best part of the stay. Filled with mainly MSD people, but we had no issues. Sadly would not stay again and definitely would not be recommending the property

Disappointing motel

Older type pet friendly accommodation.  Upstairs/downstairs situation. Urgently needs upgrading. Old, holey, smelly teatowels; spiders in drawers; fridge not working; tea/coffee not refreshed daily, no soap/shampoo provided; could hear rodents in upstairs roof area.
All advised to owner. 
Did not enjoy my stay here and will not return. 
For the cost of $130 per night, very disappointed.

Pet friendly Motel

While the unit may have been a little dated it is very spacious and comfortable.  It was exceptional clean and the owners were very friendly.  Beds were comfortable and we were very happy with our accommodation.  My only complaint would have been the strange small in the cupboard where the crockery was kept but I know these units are going to be updated so it was no big deal.  We also had a carport for the car right at the door.  Great location with easy access to town and even had a swimming pool.  Would definitely stay again next time we are in Nelson.

Very comfortable and spacious

This motel changed hands in September 2018 and is under an extensive refurbishment process by the current owners.  All of my unit had been completed except for the upright stove and this was explained to be by the owner at check in.  
I chose this motel as I was attending a wedding at Founders Park and it was a 10 minute walk in heels to the wedding.  The unit also had a pool which sadly I didn't have time to use.  Also within walking distance a Sprig and Fern pub serving food and an excellent take away shop serving multiple cuisines only 4 minutes walk.

The new owners have worked hard to make these motels a clean and safe option for your stay and are super friendly and accommodating.

I stayed 3 nights 1-4 Feb 2019, booked direct and was very happy with my stay.

It may have old bones but it has been refurbished

Really accommodating host, who makes every effort to help out. The motel has recently changed ownership, and is being quickly updated and renovated. They are about half way done at the moment. Rooms we stayed in are currently older but spacious, good free wifi, everything works fine. Staff were very kind and helpful, very welcoming. Recommend this motel for your Nelson adventure.

Clean, convenient, affordable

My elderly mother and I stayed here for two nights before Christmas. The unit we stayed in was great and had been refurbished recently. Friendly, helpful new owners and no ants in sight! Great location with excellent fish and chip shop, dairy, pub a minute’s walk. 


Spacious and clean

I stayed here when my flight was unexpectedly cancelled. Unfortunately no other accommodation was available in Nelson. I was given a two storey chalet. 
This chalet was disgusting. It was unclean, run down and infested with ants all over the kitchen area and in the beds. I complained and asked for this to be dealt with. I was advised that there are ants everywhere and they can’t be stopped.  
The owner did attend the chalet and made an attempt while I was out to clear the kitchen of ants. 
Every bed had ants crawling around. Although the sheets appeared to be ‘clean’, the smell of the bedding suggested otherwise. 
After a very disturbed night (I had nowhere else to go), I woke to find my handbag full of ants. 
I also discovered a half empty bottle of baby oil under the bed. 
The cleanliness and general maintenance of this motel is very poor. I would highly recommend that this place is avoided. 

Absolutely disgusting, ant infested

The rooms weren't as great as others we stayed in, but the lovely service was amazing instead! We really appreciated our puppy to stay and looked after. Accomodation was clean and motel so very close to town.
