The Hostel comprises 5 small bedrooms. My single one was big enough. A wee wardrobe, a bedside table and even a desk and chair complete the furniture! I slept very well both nights - considerate neighbours - and got to enjoy breakfast with the blonde social cat! The shower and toilet area is wide - one for females one for males - there’s a laundry space and a long clothes line outside. There’s two outdoors spaces - a dining room and a lounge one - under these decade-old trees. There’s a Café  running several days a week and carpark close to the Hostel. I will visit again! NB. Forgot about plentiful free fast Wifi!

Peaceful green budget accommodation

Lovely setting. Fantastic ethos and natural approach from the community. Accommodation was basic and dated but had everything you need as well as being spacious. Nice walks from location and ideal spot to visit Abel Tasman (just 35mins away).

The accommodation is situated on a working farm and community with considerable history. Maybe research it before you go. We chose it as it was economical for our gang and where we wanted to be. There’s plenty of beds if you mix in, as we did with our extended family. We used it as a base but also loved our evening walks in the locality. People that we met who lived in the community were warm and open. The facilities were clean and functional. The kids loved it. It’s probably not for everyone but it worked well for us.

Riverside sojourn is set in a good location if travelling around the wider area with a car or bikes for transport.
The studio was perfect for our family, to base ourselves for two nights, decent size and most amenities we needed.
Improvement could be a small freezer compartment.
The WiFi was a bit patchy, but Kathy fixed it quickly when we asked.
Great value for a family of five. 

A great place to base! 

The only reason we chose this accommodation was because it was economical. It was a bad choice for us.  The location was not at all convenient and trying to check in was a frustrating experience.  There was not an office for the accommodation, but just a phone number posted on the door of a business office. The room itself was large, and had a well appointed kitchen. The room was not terribly clean.  No top sheet on the bed.
