We stayed three nights over a long weekend. The bed was too hard the first night but it was no trouble for the hosts to show us another room with a really comfy bed.
We enjoyed riding our bikes along the beach to West Ohope, dining at the Wharf restaurant and plenty of walks along the beach and harbour. The takeaways and coffees were excellent at the cafe next door.
Our room was a nice design and very quiet.
We will definitely be back and we recommend this resort to couples and families.

Lovely holiday apartments.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the resort.  Cannot think of anything negative to say as trip met my expectations.  Travelled with my elderly mother with reduced mobility so easy access was important.  Already looking forward to staying there again in the future.

Our welcome on arrival was great with good explanations of various aspects of the apartment  that we booked.

The apartment itself was large with two separate,  slightly odd-shaped bedrooms. One with a reasonably comfortable queen bed, the other two singles.
The bathrooms were clean and the view from the living room pretty with a substantial deck area.

But, in spite of that, the living and dining room furniture was a real let down.  It seems each apartment is owned separately and furnished by the individual.  This apartment had very old, dated lounge furniture that was tired and really not up to standard.  The dining room table and chairs were plastic 'rattan' and definitely outdoor furniture which was odd.  The carpet was buckled in places and while the kitchen seemed clean, there was a strong smell of old food through area. The kitchen equipment and crockery seems to be an eclectic mix of things no one wanted but couldn't throw away. 

The deck was very pleasant but the clear glass divider between our apartment and the neighboring apartment's deck meant it was all a bit awkward when we sat outside pretending that we couldn't see/hear each other.

Probably wonderful for beach-loving families but a bit disappointing for us. Maybe a different apartment would have been nicer......

A good beach location but.....

Such a beautiful place to stay - the hosts are really nice, all facilities clean and well kept and just a 20mtr stroll to one of the most beautiful beaches in NZ - nicest place I have stayed, we will be back.

Amazing!!

Close to beach but a long way from Shops apart from the cafe next door. Great if you have a car. 
Would have been nice to have TV in the Bedroom. Great views of the ocean/lagoon on both sides (it's a peninsula). Electronic access cards were fiddly (not working sometimes).    But al in all, a great place and nice and clean. 



Nice, Modern, Great Facilities

Place was immaculately clean and tidy. We used the penthouse for two families and there was plenty of room, and had all the facilities  we needed. Underground parking is great too.   Definitely need to stay more than a few days.  Lovely hosts, very accommodating as we arrived late, and they had already set a portacot for us going by our booking.  Simply put ... the best service we have ever had.

View to die for

If you are looking for a quality beachfront stay in Ohope then this property can't be bettered. Unfortunately we could only fit in one night but we will certainly return for an extended break. From the quality fittings to included washing machine and drier everything has been done to the highest standard. We had booked a one bedroom Deluxe apartment and this included a very large balcony with dining table, casual chairs and recliners provided. It is only a few metres across the road to the  lovely Ohope Beach.

Fantastice apartment on the beach

Only stayed for one night but had a great 2 bedroom apartment with views both over the ocean and lagoon.   Apartment was large, clean and with very good facilities.  The facilities at the resort were also very good, but unfortunately as only staying one night we didn't use them all.  The staff were excellent.  We will definitely be back and stay longer. 

Great stay - we will return

My wife and I very much enjoyed our 4 night stay in the Ohope Beach Resort apartments. Parking under the block is very good as are the lifts etc. The only negative point was the swimming pools didn't quite live up to our expectations (or hopes??).

Great holiday apartment

Wow, from the time you drove in to the time you drove away everything was perfect, elegant and dare I say it again absolutely AH mazing. The staff, facilities and VIEWS all perfect. Would definitely recommend this venue.
