I have to say this park is my hands down favorite we have stayed at. The office staff are super friendly and helpful,the room we stayed in had the comfort bed and the grounds were so well maintained you could probably play golf on them. 
Watching the sun set on the beach at the end of the day was breathtaking and something that will be remembered. Kids had fun building sandcastles and finding seashells,talking to other friendly campers. The whole ambience of the park makes you never want to leave. We are already planning our next visit 😊

Awesome tidy cabin. Beautiful campground, a real secret treasure! Really welcoming as well, we didn’t have a booking & arrived after the office had closed but was still welcomed with a smile. Thanks so much & we’ll be back! Thanks so much for having us

Lovely camp

Friendly service, extremely clean and tidy facilities, close to awesome walking tracks for all levels, really nice beach, great activities for kids in the park, including pool, large air pillow, games room and plenty of grassed area to run around. Grounds are well maintained and variety of sites available. Site was perfect size for our 6M campervan

Stunning part of the motu!

Awesome campsite in a beautiful part of the motu. Friendly hosts, extremely clean and tidy, lots of good walks, nice beach and very kid friendly. Good optio s for campervans, tents and big rigs. Would go back for sure.

Beautiful part if the motu! 

We joined 5 other families for the long Labour weekend in October 2022.  We absolutely loved the camp and will be back for sure!
We rented one of the Tourist Cabins which was perfect for me and the 3 kids (age 12, 11 and 6).  It would have been great with my husband there too.  The cabin had a separate bedroom with double bed, fold out sofa and single bed in main room with a kitchen and separate bathroom.
The place was Immaculate!  There is a view of the ocean from the balcony and it was shady  when needed and sunny when needed too!
The staff are lovely, there are loads for things for the kids to do, our friends were in tents and big motorhomes and all love it there too.
It reminds me of the original Surf and Sand holiday camp in Ohope 20 years, really peaceful and easy.
Great walks for the parents around and the glowworms were a highlight as was the bonfire on the beach and the fishing (the dads caught sooo many snapper!).

Such a relaxed happy place

Fantastic facilities, our camper van sat at a great site looking out to sea, will be back!  great service from the owners, lovely walks, a real gem, have recommended to others,  close to Opotiki for great cycling :)

Camper Van stay

stayed in our camper van. the receptionist was so very helpful. Really tried to give us the best spot up on high ground so we could get a good view. facilities are faultless. A short drive to Opotiki and not far from Ohope.

Idylic  views

This was our first visit to this camp and we were delighted. We visited with our Campervan and had a Power site overlooking the sea. The property is wonderfully situated right on the beach, its location is quite a remote area making this a quiet relaxing site. Although we didn't try it ourselves it's obvious that there is good fishing from the beach.  Facilities are spotlessly cleaned and maintained. Showers are 50c for 5 minutes so remember to bring actual coins with you. We will certainly be back.

A Great Site

Our second stay here, this time to celebrate birthdays.  We had the very far end sites so that our whanau/friends could camp around us too, as well as those that stayed in cabins/motel.  We all loved it.  Ohiwa is such a special place, and the campground is spacious, dog friendly (most important for us) clean facilities, with Nola, Todd and the team very helpful and friendly hosts.  Only regret was that the week was way too short.  Will be back for sure.

Love it!

Great facilities situated in an isolated, idyllic position. 50cent hot showers, clean toilets, large common room and kitchen and laundry facilities.
There is an easy bike ride around the edge of the harbour.
