Room decor dated but very comfortable and very clean. Close to the town centre and plenty of parking. Breakfast excellent and served by a very genial host. Don't expect ambience but a pleasant experience.

Comfortable and good value

We received a warm welcome on arrival at Central Park.  It's in a very quiet area even though not far off the main road. There is off-street parking
Our good-sized unit had a microwave, sink and small fridge.  A washing machine and dryer  are available for guest use in the laundry.
The unit has both heating and cooling.  The bathroom is a good size with shower over the spa bath and heated towel rail. New World supermarket is a short drive away along the main street.

Quiet place to stay

Clean Motel. but very outdated.  Had a 1 bedroom apartment.  Found random rice cooker frying thing in the kitchen.  Towels were desperately needed to be renewed. A few rips in the curtains.  Very expensive for the unit.

Good overnight stay

Off the main road so lovely and quite. Our room was very spacious, good sized bathroom and great parking. 
Kitchen area provided microwave with a good selection of teas/coffees. 
There is a pool and gym. We were with a tour group and our meals were provided and we were given very generous portions.

Peaceful

A comfortable place to stay.  Perfect for our needs.  Comfortable beds, adequate kitchenette although would like to have seen more variety in tea choices e.g herbal but this is a minor thing.  Hot fast flowing shower.  Quiet, off the main highway and very close to town.  Friendly welcoming hosts with lots of knowledge about the area.  Would definitely stay again.

Great Overnight Stay

Stayed for two nights, a good welcome from the front desk . 
Room is big with three beds fully fitted kitchen and a big shower and spa bath. So the room is very well equipped. It's clean and has everything you need for a self contained stay 

The beds a bit soft for my taste but is fine and for the cold nights, is fitted with an electric blanket,nice!

For a family its probably good value but for a solo visit i thought a bit expensive. But all in all a quiet comfortable place to stay.

Quiet and comfortable

We turned up without prebooking or reading reviews. The motel reception is clean and well presented, but the outside of the unit we stayed in definitely needs a good clean - the steps in front of our door (unit 24 at the end of the reception-level block) needed to be weeded! Not a good first impression at all. However, except for mould on the bottom of the curtains, the unit was clean. The shower had good pressure and hot water. However, there was only one small towel rail, just big enough for two towels and hand towel and the bench space was minimal so there was nowhere to hang or place toilet bags. No hooks or other rails, and not even a soap holder or rack in the shower. There was an interesting round cooker "thing" on the kitchen bench - not sure what it does as there were no instructions - it took up a lot of the wet area space and I'm sure someone would find it useful if they knew what to do with it. Despite the location next to the main trunk rail line and highway there was no noise, and, with the comfy bed, we got a good night's sleep.

Quiet, clean motel which needs a bit of attention to presentation

While this lodge is close to the main highway through town and to the railway, I was aware of neither. The room was spacious and well-appointed including a spa / shower in the bathroom with fantastic water pressure so no waiting around! Although the place initially had a bit of a run-down feeling, that proved to be a red herring - it was actually very comfortable and quiet. The king bed was a bit soft for my liking but then I can sleep comfortably on a plank. I did not avail myself of the restaurant although it appeared to be popular given the number of trucks stopped outside. Appears to be one of only two non-fast-food restaurants in town (the other being the RSA Club, which is a bit harder to find). Overall, I would recommend Central Park.

Quiet premises, good value

Will stay there again next time I need too. Was a great experience. Place was well laid out and in good condition.
This is a great area to visit and the local knowledge from the owner was extremely useful.


Owner very friendly

We stayed at Central Park Motor Inn, and found the staff to be friendly & courteous. We dined in ate the motel restaurant, and the menu selection was very good, and the drinks list was adequate. The room was clean and tidy. the one issue we had was that it was hot (35'), and I suggest the management invest in fans for each room to cater for future similar events.
