Lovely people managing the motel. Very CLEAN rooms, great facilities. Awesome location - could walk easily across the road to the Lake. Walking distance to the city also. Only grumble was the hard mattress which they tried to help us out with by giving us a mattress topper so maybe management needs to sleep in the beds to see how comfortable they actually are. So if you’re booking ASK for a mattress topper.
We stayed in Room 12 (top floor furtherest from the street) Room 9 has the best view BUT closest to the street.

GREAT location

What a Great Motel, very clean , had everything we needed , the staff was so friendly & extremely accommodating , has storage for our E bikes ( which was very important to us ) . The Motel was close to the shops, eating, pubs, walkways , biking trails ,  straight across the road to the lake , great location. We we had  a good view of the lake . We certainly will go back & would Highly Recommend . We have a lot of unfinished biking trails to do.    

Great Place to Stay & very friendly 

A really great spot, rooms very nice and motel within easy walki9ng distance to CBD. good staff, comfy and well priced. Carparking available and good restaurants both next door and 1 min walk up the road.

Business stay

The new owners of this place took over in February this year and they are were welcoming! They are very aware of a few past reviews and are committed to their roles of bringing this wee gem back on the map. Great holiday price for our stay too.
We stayed in a Delux Suite on the top floor for 4 nights. The balcony is a shared walkway to other suites, though wide enough that each suite has a small table with two chairs outside. We had great views of the lake. 
Greeted warmly by our host & shown to our room. The room was very clean and had everything we needed for our stay. TVs in lounge and bedroom.  Bedroom was a good size. Pressure of shower was amazing and spa bath worked well. A few areas in bathroom need TLC however it was functional and owners are on to it. 
Room was serviced with fresh towels each day.
Excellent location with a hop, skip and a jump to lake right in front. Cafe cart close and restaurant/bar 2 minutes away. Also within walking distance to main town centre. 
We will definitely be back!

Excellent location, clean & comfortable!

We stayed here for two nights in a De Luxe suite on the second floor.  There were quite a number of steep steps to our room so this wouldn't be suitable for the elderly or anyone with a large amount of luggage.  We appreciated that there were 2 rooms, one large double bedroom and a separate living area both included TVs.   The bathroom was spacious with excellent water pressure.  There was outside seating but this doubled as a walkway for guests gaining access to their rooms so we didn't bother sitting outside at all.  Anyway, the only view was the motel next door but this was shielded with some trees. The little kitchen was well stocked with cups, sauces, glasses etc, 2 cooking hobs and a microwave. The unit was clean and quiet but could do with a coat of paint.  Fresh towels were left both days.  There were only 2 negatives, only one bedroom side table for the queen bed and the light switch in the bathroom was right in the interior of the bathroom and not by the door where it should be.  This made it difficult to find the switch in the dark during the night.

Great Location

Recenty checked into this motel.  Very friendly man at reception.  Room was spacious with separate bedroom.  Very nice renovated bathroom.  Kitchen facilities.  Clean and tidy.  Table and chairs outside.  Very quiet room with no outside noise.  Would definitely stay again

Friendly Check-in

The whole experience was great especially the warm, helpful welcome by the host.
 We needed an accessible room and that was provided. 
the motel itself is very convenient, right on the lake front with ample parking

Our TAUPO HOLIDAY 

A great place to stay ! We arrived late in the night and our room was all set up for us. We were impressed - it was clean and comfortable and had everything we need.
The communication from the motel was top ! Couldn’t fault a thing. The view was wow also. Can’t wait to come back and stay for a longer time so we can enjoy fully.

Highly recommend!

My baby and I spent the night here while passing through Taupo during level 2. We had the best time! The room was more than I expected for the price, in fact there was a bed in the lounge so I ended up sleeping there while my baby was in his portacot in the bedroom. There was Netflix on the tv, a fridge and microwave and a lovely shower. Across the road from the lake too, about 10 mins walk from town. Cons were the lack of heating and the extra charge for the portacot but due to the cheap price I still give it 5 stars! Due to level 2 it was a contactless check in so I received a text earlier in the day with all the information I needed and it all was super easy. Thanks so much, we will be back!
