Unpleasant and unhelpful couple of owners. No sens of service
There is supposed to be a free shuttle to go the airport; yet when we asked for it, we were explained it was not a taxi and we could anyhow walk until the airport , which we did with all our luggages

GOOD HOTEL BUT UNPLEASANT AND UNHELPFUL COUPLE OF OWNERS

Decided to stay here overnight as we had to checkin for an early flight at 4.30am next day. The airport is approximately 5 minutes walk away from the lodge and by using the left luggage facility at the airport overnight this made the early start quite simple.

On arrival we were welcomed and shown to a spacious room, that was comfortable and more than adequte for our needs. Facilites were fine and the WiFi proved efficient. Surprisingly quiet at night allowing us to get some decent rest pre-flight.

Very handy for the airport

The rooms are average and they are just rude!!! They wouldn't know customer service if it bit them in the proverbial. See other comments here which just validate my point. Avoid is my advice. There are plenty of nicer places to stay in Wellington.

The Worst Customer Service

Stayed here for 4 nights , 

The good ;
Very friendly gentleman and wife running the place and keen to chat 
Very clean rooms 
Very comfy beds 
Bus stop right outside which was convient 
They were keen to clean the room every day. 
Not as noisy as you would think for being near a airport. 
Good view out the window down the road and good surveillance of the carpark 
Decent bit of room in the rooms 
Exhaust fan in bathroom

The bad
The shower was a bit dodgey but still worked fine,

Great place to stay, conveniently located within walking distance to the airport. Staff were very lovely and friendly. Rooms themselves were clean, large and the beds were really comfortable. Would highly recommend. 

Pleasant stay

Yes - It was clean and well appointed but I thought that as it was predominantly servicing an airport with international flights the opening time of 7.30am was unrealistic. We could walk to the airport but if we hadnt been able to ???. Opening to 
concide with the first flight out would be what I would expect.

THE ABSOLUTE WORST EXPERIENCE I’VE EVER HAD. SO BAD A POLICE STATEMENT WAS GIVEN BY ME. I am an avid traveler who have experienced many highs and lows of travel in over 36 countries. This is by far the worst I have ever been treated. I arrived at 6am with many bags (as I am moving home after 5years) and was waiting out the front of the hotel for only 30mins. All I wanted to do was leave my bags so I could get food and pass the time until check-in at 2pm. Within minutes the lady was aggressive in her speech, told me she was locking the door and I couldn’t sit in the lobby or leave my bags. Once the man returned he began to get angry and treating me in the most unexpected way. He were rude, he began shouting at me saying things like SHUT UP, he told me I couldn’t be there, they told me they called the police, and then once I was outside with my belongings the man kicked my bag along the ground. I was expected to go back there that night. No way! I was shaking, crying and shocked. Furthermore, Booking.com said they could not refund me regardless that I felt threatened and unsafe. Its rated a 9 out of 10 but it was a 0 out of 10. A bit of advice, get out of the hospitality business if you can’t treat people with respect.

POLICE WERE CALLED DUE TO THEIR HARRASSMENT

We were seeing off family for an early flight. We decided to spend the day before in Wellington then stay the night in this hotel before seeing them off. I really was not sure which hotel was best for this purpose but I am very glad we found this motel. The staff are super friendly and helpful. Rooms spacious and comfortable. I found the mattress too soft for my liking but better than too hard.
You can walk to Wellington International Airport from this hotel. Parking on site and free on street.

Can't be more convenient

I was stuck at the airport overnight due to weather and the Airport Novotel was booked out so I stayed here as it’s a 10min wall from the terminal.  

The room was clean and check in was friendly.  There was a strange clicking/mechanical noise through the night that kept disturbed my sleep. 

There are two restaurants across the road and I ate at the Greek option which was excellent.  Otherwise there is nothing else nearby.  Apart from being very close to the airport there is not much else going for it.

If I was in a similar situation I would probably look for a better option even if it required a shuttle rather than being walking distance.

Near the airport 

We use this for our last night as our flight out was 0600. Check in was a breeze and most helpful. Rooms were quiet. Security was excellent. Great Chinese cafe across the road. If you were keen and had small luggage you could walk to the airport. Free onsite parking if you have a rental car. Simply perfect.
