What a wonderful 2 night stay again, We had the self contained unit. Fantastic friendly and very knowledgeable hosts Ian & Jan. Beautiful clean rooms, lovely gardens and excellent breakfast. Lovely to sit around the breakfast table with other guests and hosts discussing our travel plans and having a great laugh. 5 minute walk to the high street. Our second visit, we were here 8 years ago, and it was a must to return, it did not disappoint, we were so pleased we returned.

A huge thank you to the hosts. I'd travelled up the West coast of NZ to Westport with the intention of driving to Picton the following day to get the ferry to the North Island. With less than 24 hours notice I'd received an email from the shambolic ferry company to advise that my ferry was cancelled and no spaces for at least 2 weeks. I advised that I would have to leave early the next morning (around 5am) to travel to Christchurch to return the hire car and get a plane instead. I had to leave a few bits behind as couldn't fit it all in my suitcase (sorry for having to leave those in the room). I was provided with some fruit to take with me in the morning for my breakfast which was really kind. The room was very clean and comfortable. There were patio doors out to a beautiful garden area. The location was very quiet and I hope I didn't make too much noise as I left! The hosts were really kind and helped to make sure I was ok after I'd let them know of the travel issues!

A lovely stay with really kind hosts

Havenlee Homestay is excellent.  The hosts, Jan and Ian, are friendly and considerate, the garden setting is lovely, the accommodation is spacious and comfortable, and the breakfasts are wonderful.  Everything is immaculate and there is plenty of parking.  We spent five nights here as part of a longer West Coast holiday and enjoyed every moment.  We highly recommend this homestay to other travellers or anybody needing a relaxing break away.  A lovely experience.

A wonderful stay, highly recommended

Havenlee Homestay is true to its motto 'affordable quality’. Our room with ensuite was perfect for our needs and we appreciated the outdoor seating area and the treats. Breakfast was delicious; the juices, homemade muesli, fresh fruit selection, cooked options, coffee; were all quality and beautifully presented. Jan and Ian offered genuine, warm hospitality and gave helpful suggestions but also just let us do our own thing. This was an excellent B&B stay.

An excellent B&B stay

Exceptionally Clean, friendly and just like being at home. Reasonable tariff with a separate lounge, own bathroom and comfy bed. There was a  great selection for breakfast. Ian and Jan are lovely hosts would definitely stay again, thank you again Jan and Ian.

Home away from home

Ian and Jan are great hosts. Great rooms, very clean and tidy, nice firm beds. Lovely freshly cooked breakfasts. plenty of parking outside the homestay. But what really made this stay was Ian and Jan. Lovely people and I felt sad to leave. Well worth the money.

One of the best B & B's I've stayed at

Our one night stay at Havenlee was a highlight of our West Coast trip. Jan and Ian are warm, welcoming and hospitable hosts who provide high quality accomodation in a property surrounded by a charming garden. The comfortable beds, the impeccable standard of cleanliness and hygiene, and the delicious breakfast all contributed to our memorable stay. Thank you so much Jan and Ian from the four of us.

Memorable stay

Ian and Jen are very friendly and helpful hosts. A spacious and very well equipped annexe was perfect for our stay, with a private patio as well. Very handy to the centre of town,. The whole annexe was very clean, with a superb and modern bathroom. Extremely good value. Can recommend to anyone.
We have no connection with this accommodation, except as happy and satisfied customers.

Top accommodation in Westport

We had the pleasure of staying with Jan and Ian just one night. There home was impeccable, and their company relaxing and comfortable. They really thought of everything to make the traveler feel welcome and relaxed. Thank you! We highly recommend a stay here if traveling in the area.

Cozy, clean, warm environment

Very welcoming greeting from Jan & Ian. The room was really quiet and comfortable and had everything we needed including decent WiFi.  A short walk into the CBD.  Street parking right outside the BnB was fine. Breakfast was wonderful, particularly for my wife who has special dietary needs and Jan catered for those without batting an eyelid.  Even gave us extra bread to take away!  Breakfast had plenty of food on offer which I had to turn down due to eating dinner in town the previous evening and consequently quite ill. Could not fault this BnB
