 Our travel agent booked this for us 18 months in advance.  
Firstly there aren't any stunning views from the rooms, only the owners accommodation and its too far out of town to walk to restaurants
We were expecting a warm welcome but the owner  informed us that we couldnt stay !!!!!
 It was at the start of Corvid but we were in NZ before quarantine was introduced. I asked why she hadnt tried to contact us prior to our arrival as we would have been than happy to stay in our previous hotel  
The owner  told us that she had tried to find us alternative accommodation but that "nobody wants you", which was clearly untrue !
I explained that we were in the country before quarantine was introduced and that as a bad asthmatic we had taken full precautions to avoid the virus and had cleaned everywhere we had been with sanitising wipes and used hand gel. We were extremely upset thinking that we had nowhere to stay
On leaving we noticed a motel and decided to give it a try. No problem
Within 20 mins of checking into our motel room  the police knocked on our door !! The owner of stunning views had reported us.  They checked our paper work and as everything was correct said that we could continue with our holiday
Whilst I can understand the owners concerns about Covid, all she had to do was contact our agent a few days before to avoid all the upset. To set the police on us was unforgivable. My husband and I are both in our late sixties and not the type to break rules.
AVOID THIS INHOSPITABLE PLACE.

Very unwelcoming

Everyone else mentions the views - because they really are splendid. Jim and Denise will make you feel at home and are a great source of local information. Breakfast was lovely. A very convenient location for Coromandel and places further south. They may be moving so get in while you still can!

Wonderful stay

What a great place to relax and enjoy the great hosting by denise and jim...it was hard to leave this place after only two nights, enjoyed everything there, suite, company, food, music, views, arts, conversations!

Stunning Stay

We had an AMAZING time at Denise and Jim’s place.  The views really are spectacular and our room was extremely comfortable.  The house is close to the beach (which is beautiful!) and the cute downtown area.  But what really sets this place apart is Denise and Jim.  They are the bests hosts you could ask for—warm, welcoming, fun.  They made us feel like we were at home and cooked us wonderful breakfasts with local fruits and eggs.  They invited us to a locals open night mic at a bar that was SUPER fun and we really enjoyed getting to know them.  This was one of our favorite places to stay on our three week trip to New Zealand and we can’t wait to go back.

Lives up to the name

We enjoyed our stay with Jim and Denise so much! Their comfortable home is a wonderful base for seaside adventures. Jim kept an eye on the tides and gave us great suggestions for fun things to do. The food was amazing;most of the herbs, veggies and fruit coming from their garden. The linens were first rate and the towels were huge and plush. Do a dinner at their house. It is better than what you get at any restaurant!

The Best!

We had a fantastic stay here. Jim and Denise are fantastic hosts. 

The room was very comfortable and had everything we needed for a great stay, from wine glasses to beach towels. 

We stayed in the upstairs room and our private deck had the stunning views as advertised. It was nice to read a book and drink some wine as the sun set. Very relaxing. 

The breakfast here was to die for. Delicious food and many of the ingredients came fresh right from their garden.

Highly recommended and would stay again in a heartbeat!

Lives up to the name!

This B&B is more like home from home. We only met Jim & Denise yesterday but they make you feel like you have known them forever.
Their attention to detail is second to none and the room was spotlessly clean. Nothing was too much trouble for them and our breakfast was a delight.
The disappointing thing for us was we only stayed a night and we could have stayed a week.
If you are visiting Whangamata then Stunning views is the place to stay.

It was an amazing time we had with our hosts at their B&B...Nice breakfast as well!!! The rooms was so tidy and comfortable and we were treated very nice...such a friendly couple...I would recommend Stunning view to every one and it does have a stunning view

best complimentary snack board we ever had...it was just amazing with good company in Denise and Jim

The B&B exceeded our expectations. Every detail was though through, it was spotless, and the views were breathtaking. Denise and her family were awesome guests, very considerate and kind. The breakfast is delicious. Would definitly go back!

Astounding!

We stayed with Denise and Jim this time last year during the annual Beach Hop event and it was our first experience in a B&B. It was such an easy decision to stay at Stunning Views B&B again this year for another 5 days. On reading other reviews we can honestly say we received the same incredible hospitality. We are made to feel so welcome - the personalised breakfasts created by Denise and Jim as a team are 5-star, and the “stunning views” make it a perfect start to every day - the bedroom is dressed so beautifully with amazing attention to detail - the wine and food platter yet another lovely gesture. Our wonderful hosts Denise and Jim are an awesome couple and it’s wonderful to be around them. Without hesitation they go out of their way to make their guests stay a memorable one in so many ways – even special bath salts and more candles were added as yet another surprise for a relaxing time.
