Thank you Dale and Ivan for a wonderful stay!! 
I stayed here with 2 friends for 2 nights solely to be close to a festival in Waihi. We were all blow  away with how clean and modern the motel is. The photos do not do this place justice. 
There is also a lovely back decking area with a BBQ to relax after a long day at the beach. 
The rooms are spacious and have kitchen appliances you may need including free tea and coffee. 
The location is actually perfect,within walking distance to Paeroa but only a 20-30 min drive to waihi beach. Heaps of walks/stop offs on route too. 
Lastly the hosts Dale and Ivan are just wonderful human beings, the communication and professionalism from the start to the end. Really helpful. I've stayed in accom all over the world and it really does make a difference when you recieve such great hospitality. We will definitely be back!!

Little Gem In Paeroa

Our group booked to stay here for one night in a family unit and a variety of studio units.

The service and communication we had with Dale and Ivan was fantastic, be assured  that they aim to please.

It was obvious that some renovations had taken place  and done beautifully. Loved the modern wall art. 

Some bathrooms however were dated, perhaps a work in progress. 

Rooms were spotlessly clean. Very restful comfortable beds. Studio units with extra bed felt cramped, but good value for money aspect. 

Studio units were equipped with microwave for cooking purposes. Full size oven in the family unit only. Tea, coffee, and toiletries on tap supplied. Not all rooms were fitted with air con, ask, if staying in summer. 

Large deck and barbeque available for mix and mingle, worked out perfect for us.

Location is within walking distance to town.

Perfect for our needs

This motel is pricy compared to some others locally but if we’d had family with us it would have been very good value as there were several other beds in our unit that we didn’t use. Our unit was modern, nicely furnished, very clean, comfortable and spacious - more like a hotel than a motel. The bed was very comfortable and the unit was well equipped. We appreciated the hotel style touches such as complimentary biscuits and shampoo and conditioner. The motel is conveniently located very close to the town. The proprietors were very pleasant and friendly. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely splash out a little more to stay there when in Paeroa again.  Only (very minor) quibble would be that there didn’t seem to be a hairdryer provided. Luckily I had brought one with me - but there was no mirror near a socket (bathroom socket was shavers only) so I had to blow dry by guesswork.

Comparatively price but very good

Just overwhelmed  and delighted with this motel, the new owners Dale and Ivan have transformed this motel, into a beautiful spotlessly clean and immaculate place to stay . Every facility , unsurpassed.for professionalism, and such friendly staff. Nothing is too much trouble, and will certainly return there and tell all our friends and family about it.

New owners updated into an amazingly high quality motel

New owners have done a really good job of updating the inside and outside of the motel -  really clean and friendly service. Beds were very comfortable and showers had great pressure. Will definitely be back.

Great motel

Visited a friend who was staying in unit with young children. It was cold and the children were cold. I asked the manager for a heater to put in the room and he said no heater needed but could give more blankets. Appliances were old and had to guess minutes on microwave. Wasn’t impressed by lack of empathy. Positive note - it was clean and a nice unit.

Appliances and heating need updating 

Stayed at this clean motel with two grown up boys. Nice and clean just lacking in a few things. We didn’t realise there wasn’t a hob or oven just a microwave and not enough sockets so couldn’t do more than one thing at a time.  Lovely hot water and good shower with plenty of toiletries. 

One nights stay 

New owner trying to make changes and update the rooms. Motel was decent but parking on the premises was tight.
Clean and comfortable and supplied a decent sofa bed for our child, so we all had a decent night's sleep
Located on the corner of Thames road (and opposite the racecourse) but traffic dies down reasonably early

We had a great experience with Tony at the Racecourse Motel. We were caught on the wrong side of a storm which closed roads to the Coromandel overnight. In a tight spot, we rang Tony late at night on a Public Holiday eve, and he was more than accomodating, putting us up in rooms with a brand new heat pump and lending us some phone chargers.

The accommodation was everything we required in a tight spot, and the price was fair,

Very friendly and super helpful!

This is a great place to stay the rooms are very comfortable, the hotel for meals is great we ate there each of our three nights, the racecourse markets were on when we were there and they are huge with a big range of items for sale. The showers were nice and hot and the towels were big and fluffy
