We only stayed here for two days, but we didn't want to leave this charming house and its lovely owners anymore. Everything was above our expectations... cleanliness, comfort, breakfast, room with a beautiful view... all very high quality better than a 5 star hotel! We highly recommend staying for a while in the delightful Whangamata. PS: Peter will be able to advise you on the beautiful things to see!!!!

That's great!

Excellent B & B serving a full cooked breakfast if you want it or a continental breakfast. Very congenital hosts , nothing was too much for them.  The rooms are extremely comfortable, clean and serviced. There is even a microwave in the laundry and plates if you wish to self cater.  Because you are able to eat in the rooms they could have been a little bit more practically laid out with less ornaments, cushions and other superfluous nick-nacks. I would highly recommend this B&B.

Excellent B & B

Kathryn and Peter are exceptional hosts. They are well travelled, gracious and generous. Nothing is too much trouble. 
Our room was clean, bright and beautifully decorated. It had a panoramic view of the town and the islands out to sea. A large balcony was a plus.
Breakfast was well prepared and generous and we even had a drink with our hosts in the evening.
We will certainly recommend Pacific View and the Coromandel to our friends.

A Wonderful Coromandel Experience

I enjoyed my first stay at Pacific View in 2009 and came back for my second stay over the 2018 Christmas holidays.  Both stays were for several days and equally enjoyable.  The facilities are tastefully appointed and breakfasts scrumptious.  Kathryn and Peter are superb hosts, offering the best of Kiwi hospitality; they are cheerful and informative.  My partner and I especially enjoyed late afternoon chats with these accomplished innkeepers over a cup of tea or glass of wine.  We are looking forward to our next visit to Pacific View!

Pacific View, We're Coming Back!

On a recent trip to North Island NZ we chose to stay at Pacific View in Whangamata so that we could fit in a little taste of the Coromandel region. Kathryn and Peter were such magnificent hosts. We arrived with little idea of exactly what we should do, they had so many good ideas for us. This included an exciting trip with Ocean Leopard that gave us such a good feeling for the region, looking back towards the coast from the ocean. They also pointed us towards interesting venues for meals each night. In addition they provided a fabulous breakfast and were such good company, making us feel very welcome. Beds were the most comfortable, shower excellent and good sized rooms, we took the one upstairs with a verandah and fabulous views. Our friends were downstairs in a beautiful room. There is a lift for the upstairs room. Highly recommended.

We chose this B&B to stay for one night. What a beautiful stay! We were greeted by a lovely couple who made us feel so welcome in their home. The breakfast was sensational and we thoroughly enjoyed chatting with Kathy and Peter who had tons of advice and tips when travelling to our next destinations. We cannot recommend highly enough.

Beautiful

We chose this B&B for a 2 night Coromandel stay based on superlative recommendations from close friends who stayed there 2 years ago. Our expectations were high - we were not disappointed! The panoramic views from our room over Whangamata and its backdrop of sea and mountains were stunning. The quiet and calm location only 5 mins by car from the town centre. Attention  to detail in the presentation and high quality of the accommodation, including cleanliness, is evident throughout. Breakfast is personalised and delicious, catering to dietary needs. And most of all we appreciated the capacity of the hosts Kathryn and Peter to tune in to our interests and give us detailed advice about how to best spend our time in the area (and further afield in NZ) and where to eat locally.

Meets all expectations!

Our first visit to NZ, what a brilliant place to stay. Top marks to Trailfinders for booking this superb B&B. From the moment of our arrival to departure 3 days later, we were made to feel part of the family. Kathryn and Peter run a tight ship, spotlessly clean, extremely well appointed and breakfast to die for! Lots of friendly advice on places to visit, local restaurants and everything we could need. Recommended without any reservation.

Fantastic

It all started with a warm welcome, then we were taken to our room and then invited to a joint tea and coffee. Here we were also provided with the first information. The room was perfect, the breakfast was delicious and rich (eggs made to order, homemade muesli) and the morning conversations with Kathryn and Peter were pleasant and informative. So we got very good information for our Coromandel roundtrip restaurant. The recommendations for dinner were also perfect. We rarely felt so comfortable! Thank you so much, Kathryn and Peter!

On our tour of New Zealand, we had a wonderful stay at the Pacific View B&B. The hosts Kathryn and Peter warmly welcomed us, providing us with valuable tips and making us feel at home. A place where we could feel really comfortable. The upstairs room was very well furnished and offered a fantastic view of the sea. Every evening we were surprised by a little coexistence.
