Whangamata

Lovely apartment split over 3 levels.  First level was the garage, laundry, and a separate toilet and shower.  Second level was the lounge, kitchen, dining and balcony.  Third level was the master bedroom,  toilet and bathroom.  Two other rooms were closed off.  Beautifully equipped with a full range of kitchen appliances and little touches like paper towels and a salt and pepper set.  Clean and comfortable; we would certainly stay again.

Excellent place to stay

So I was not so keen to write a great review because I will definitely be going back and wanted to be sure the place is not fully booked when I do :) 
The location was great, the service was great and I adore Whangamata.

My new favourite spot :)

We had a long standing booking (of twelve months) that was cancelled on us ten days prior to our arrival.  
The Manager phoned to inform us that the owner of the unit (as all the units are individually owned), required the unit we had booked so they were cancelling our booking.  As the period we were staying was a busy long weekend, he could not offer us any alternative as they were fully booked.  There was no offer to assist us to find alternative accommodation, no compensation offer, just "I'm sorry there's nothing I can do".  
So be aware when booking at this establishment that your booking may not be guaranteed.  You will have to decide if you are willing to take the chance your holiday plans might be disrupted significantly at the last minute.

BEWARE - Booking Cancelled by Marine Reserved

The 2-bedroom apartment was clean and comfortable. We had to open the windows to cool down, the private garage parking is nice, we are able to do laundry in the garage. We walked across the street for breakfast and the beach. Quiet.

Nice location

Awesome place. Top location. We loved being able to walk a few steps and be right at the surf club. 
Exceptionally clean. Comfy beds. White fluffy towels. Good set up in 3 bedroom units. Double Garage (lengthwise) on ground floor with shower toilet and laundry. 
First floor 3 bedrooms and another bathroom. 3rd bedroom opens onto 2nd bedroom for natural light but also has its own door from hallway. 
Top 3rd floor - living, dining, kitchen and lovely deck. 
We’ll set up with outdoor shower to clean off after the beach. 
We just had the most lovely stay. Friendly hosts doing a great job of running a clean and quiet apartment block. 
Tip: eat at the rsa- cheap and delicious Thai and European food. 

Best spot

We come here often as its the best value in Whangamata and is only 100m from one of the best beaches on the Coromandel.
Make sure you book as its very busy and ask Simon (who lives on site and provides the highest quality management) if you can have a unit on the Beverly Terrace side as they are better configured, all have drive in double secure garaging, full laundry facilities and multiple rooms for your size group from 2 to 6+. The living area provides plenty of space with full kitchen facilities and bathrooms on each level. We often use the Weber BBQ on the deck if its cool they have full Sky TV services to watch on a large flat screen TV. There is plenty to do here with a large park across the street and Blackies Cafe that has great coffee and food for all needs. Dont waste time with AirBnB as this offers so much more and is great value, the facilities are second to none in town and kept to the highest level.

Premium Accommodation on the Beach

The room was above the indoor garage and it was  quiet,well appointed,clean and warm and everything you wanted for a holiday.
The  location is great, just a few steps from the wonderful Whangamata Beach which is great for fishing or swimming or  just having fun on the beach.
Whangamata is only about an hour and a half from Auckland City which is an easy drive.

Overall average quality accommodation but affordable for a family or group. Amenities are a bit dated, but the 3 bedroom apartment was clean and included a full kitchen and chattels. Would certainly stay there again.

Family Stopover

A triplex in size, layout and taste rarely seen for this type of accommodation in terms of the price paid. Spacious, comfortable and beautifully decorated rooms. A large living room with a large hyper furnished kitchen, a beautiful dining room and a spacious and comfortable living room. The terrace is also furnished to eat and make nice grills on the floor.

Exceptional

It's a great place to relax, the beach is not far away. Three floors, a kitchen on a separate floor. The price is acceptable for such apartments, but for one family it's expensive, so the option for 2-3 families is ideal if you want to save money. Apartments in two rows are located, on the left row of the window of one bedroom right on the road, but in principle it's not loud.
