I stayed here in Feb and Mar.  Erick and Adriana are nice people, they speak English and are helpful. 
The monthly price is good, the access to laundry facilities and a shared kitchen was very useful. Erick upgraded the internet and the wifi was fast! The room needs fresh paint, cobwebs swept and the bathroom walls could use a good cleaning other than that the bed was good and there was cable tv as well.

As others have said, close to MaxiPali, buses and a short walk to the market and downtown.

Erick also runs a successful restaurant from the same location called Piknik.

Good place to stay for a night, a week or a month.

If you are looking for a room with a shared kitchen or a self contained apartment this is an excellent choice and we really enjoyed our week here.  There are many good points: the very helpful and friendly owners, the lovely garden atmosphere, the free washing machine, reliable wifi, easy access from buses or by car, maxipali across the street, center of town is walkable if you want (20 min?) or a 15C taxi ride, quiet location, rooftop seating area, very secure, etc.  We had booked a room but it was not vacant when we arrived so we were upgraded to an apartment for the same price... lovely amount of space.  My only very minor constructive criticism - our apartment was the oldest space (apparently) in the complex and so showed signs of wear and it could have used a good cleaning.

At Home in Esteli

ApartHotel is where you can rent a room with shared kitchen or an apartment with its own kitchen.  All depends on what your needs are.  No matter what you are renting, you have an access to a washing machine to do your own laundry without extra cost (this is unique to this place).  Free WIFI is also available.  
We were really pleased to see all the natural surroundings (flowers, plants and trees) including the fish aquariums in the courtyard. 
We stayed here for 5 nights.  Our experience was great.  We love our hosts, they are beautiful people.  We had a chance to play with their miniature dobermans, they are delightful doggies.  
Erick and Adrianna were great at helping us to get to know the city.  They made us feel like we were part of their family.  
We greatly appreciated their hospitality and are looking forward to returning and staying with them again.

Home away from home...

There is no reason ro complain due to the price.  Location is fine, across from the MaxiPali and bus stop.  It is quiet.  Wifi is very good and just reached our room.  There is a communial kitchen for rooms without their own kitchen and a communal sitting area.  There is a laundry facility on site at no extra charge.  There are two very cute miniature dogs on site that we enjoyed playing with.

Downsides:  our room, closest to the kitchen, had no windows and was quite musty in the washroom.  The shower curtain was very mouldy and needed to be changed.  The only other complaint was that the host would not sweep our floor, change toilet paper bin, or even give us the mop to use on our own... service is only once a week.  There might have been a language barrier though.

Regardless, this was a great value and really for the price you are getting more than you pay for.  I am sure if our room had a wondow like other rooms do, the musty conditions would not exist.  Also the owners are very friendly.

You get what you pay for

A friend and I (and 2 dogs) spent two months in the 3-bedroom apartment.  I felt like I was at home!  The apartment was very spacious and modern, without being so modern that it lost its Nicaraguan atmosphere.  The rooms and the apartments are all contained within a gated area that provided a safe environment, and also permitted my dogs with room to roam.  The courtyard is adorned with a beautiful fountain, different interesting artifacts, and lots of lovely blooming plants.  Hummingbirds visited daily.

The location is excellent.  There is a well-equipped Maxi Pali across the street which made buying essentials very easy.  The walk to the market for fresh fruits and vegetables is a pleasant 15-minute walk or 5 minute taxi ride.  For those who enjoy the night life, there are many locations to visit within easy walking distance.

This ApartHotel is an excellent choice primarily because of the family that runs it.  Erick and Adrianna are warm, welcoming, accommodating hosts with intentions of making each guest's experience as comfortable and positive as possible.  The provided me with assistance in so many ways, from Spanish lessons to arranging veterinary care, to cooking lessons.  In all my travels, I have not encountered more accommodating hosts.

Safe, friendly, home away from home

This is a quaint Apart Hotel where you can rent a room for the night or an apartment for an extended stay. Either way, you will have everything you will need close at hand. The owners really go out of their way to make sure that you make the best of what the Esteli area and Nicaragua have to offer. You can tell that they sincerely want you to enjoy your stay with them. There is also a common area courtyard for relaxing outside and a more private rooftop area for sunbathing.
