Great hostel with breathtaking views of both Volcanos.

Upon arrival staff were lovely! Friendly and extremely helpful. Could speak English which was a bonus. Common area is so inviting. Tables, chairs, hammocks and shade. 

Food and drinks are delicious and fairly priced. The price of the hostel was cheap at $8US per night which is appropriate.

We got a 5 bed dorm for 4 of us. The room was large, as clean as you would expect for the location which has a large population of creatures. Bathroom was large. Tapware and the Shower were painful as the flow of water was scarce (not hot which was fine in such a climate). We were also provided towels which was great!

The fitted sheet on the bed was terrible and by morning 3 out of the four of us had come off the bed which was painful as you do not want to lay skin to mattress. The rooms were hot but had plenty of windows and two ceiling fans which kept a constant flow of air pumping through the room at night to be able to sleep.

Staff organised a tour to climb the smaller volcano with Damos who was fantastic and a pleasure to spend the day with!

This hostel was as good as it needed to be while having a short stay on the island.

Great for a short stay good location

The hostel has simple and cheap rooms (for Ometepe Island). The site is really nice. You can sit down and stare at one of the volcanos. 
The staff is really nice and helpful. The restaurant is also quite reasonable priced.
I cannot deny that the rooms could need a renovation, so check them out beforehand, if the standard is sufficient for you or not.

Very good price value!

This hostel has a great location on the northern side of the smaller island, with stunning views of Vulcan Conception. They have a few chillout spots that make you want to lay in a hammock all day.

That being said, check your room before you agree to it. The first room I stayed in had mould on the walls and was just too stuffy and hot to sleep in (#5).
My private room was perfect tho.
The bathrooms are VERY basic (like frogs in your baño and the shower is just a pipe running freezing water).

The staff is very friendly and will do anything for you. The food is good. Have a margarita and enjoy!

Great hostel, check room first.

The Hostel is right in Santa Cruz at the intersection of the two running busses which is really facilitating transport. From the garden you can see Volcan Concepcion.

The dorm I stayed in was super smelly and had mold on the walls. The smell of mold was so bad I got a headache the next day. Wouldn't recommend to stay in the dorm but heard the other rooms were nicer.

Humid Dorm with Mold 

This is truly the best hostel on the island. Little Morgan's and Lazy Crab are popular but total gross dumps. I went to many hostels in search of somewhere to stay so I know. My room was very clean, no bugs seen actually. It's important to know that Ometepe is an island and we are in Nicaragua, there will be bugs! But this hostel is not infested like many of the others. Amazing views for sunset watching. It's in a good location. Close to sites that are popular, including Ojo de Agua natural springs. This is important because transport around the island is spars with public buses and cabs are very expensive! Claudestinos is an excellent restaurant right by the hostel. And the best place to book your kayaking or volcano hikes.
