Standards have definitely dried at the Rockview Classic. The bathrooms need to be modernized there’s dirt encrusted in the corners around the handles on the bathtub, the tub has patches of rust, the bedsheets are old and discolored, quite stained so you can see that the sheets are not changed. The pillows are old and disgusting. The staff are quite courteous and helpful, the food is good and the location is great. Overall the hotel could do with a few renovations and proper cleaning

Not as good anymore

I spent seven nights at the Rockview Classic. The hotel is a little dated. It could do with better maintenance. The pillows were disgusting. The management is too cheap to update the linen, especially the pillows (picture attached). The food was poor. The wi-fi was great on the ground floor but constantly disconnected on the second floor.

We stayed at the Rock view hotel wusi central the hotel is in a very quiet but central area of Abuja with wonderful and friendly staff
An excellent clean restaurant serving delicious African cousin plantain jallof rice yam and assorted stews with breakfast included in the rate an over all good experience the family enjoyed it

I stayed for 5 nights at the hotel, the rooms are nice and spacious. The guys at the reception were courteous and helpful. The food was also good, I enjoyed the lunch at the restaurant. The bed wasn’t too comfy for me.
The hotel is centrally located and very accessible to all the places I needed to visit.
Overall, I enjoyed my stay and will come back

Nice Stay

Stayed for a week during my visit in July 2018. Hotel is located in a peaceful and safe area. Good security arrangements with friendly guards who greet you with a smile.

A big minus point is rude and unfriendly reception staff. They never smile and speak to you as if they are doing a huge favour to you by checking you inn. They need all the payment upfront as if you may run away without paying them. For everything and anything you have to pay upfront and even after paying they have a No Thank You Policy. I think they have never heard of the word HOSPITALITY.

Food is average and service not very good. Also, even if you request them to provide you an empty plate or a empty bowl on returnable basis, they ask you to pay 1000 Nira for the same. I know its strange but this is the way Nigerian Hotel Industry works.

There is a supermarket across the road which is very convenient. 

You can choose to stay here as the area is safe, rooms comfortable and pricing ok if we compare with the prices of Hotels in west Africa. Do not expect service with a smile or great food.

Average Hotel, Good Location, Safe Area, Ok Rooms & Rude Staff

I was here foe three night stay during my travel from Maiduguri to Abuja, before leaving the country. I was surprised to find a good and comfortable hotel, located in a calm and safe area close to Maitama. Close to the supermarket and several restaurants. The room is nice and big. Service relatively good with warm and helpful staffs. Helpful security staff available in every floor makes my visit feel safe and comfort. 

Nice, Comfort and Secure hotel in Abuja

I stay here regularly whilst in Abuja between flights. Always dependable, with utilities working. good AC, & clean rooms (though smoking is permitted in all the rooms, so if you are a non-smoker check the room is odour free after last occupant). Nice pool, and poolside bar. Seems marginally better than its sister hotel next door, the Rockview Royale.Recommended.
