Easy location from the train station. The single room was small but clean and efficient. The breakfast room was perfect!

Charming historic cozy hotel, just outside beautiful Nygårdsparken and an easy walk to the train station and several nice restaurants nearby. Also an easy walk to the city center. Excellent attention to detail, with afternoon brownies and coffee/tea, and a well-appointed and delicious breakfast, early enough for those with early morning travel plans. Staff are delightful and friendly. Can't recommend this memorable historic family-owned hotel highly enough!

Truly a Norwegian experience.  Nice breakfast buffet. 10 minute walk into centre of town. Close to train station and tram.  Good size rooms and comfortable beds.

Had a great stay at the Park Bergen hotel!  The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the interior had a cozy, charming feel. Loved the little touches—especially the homemade granola and brownies. Overall, a really pleasant experience. Would definitely stay again!

This was an absolutely lovely hotel. Friendly greeting when I arrived, and the free tea and cakes in the dining room were much appreciated after my flights. I loved the character and charm of this hotel. Would definitely stay again, as I plan to visit Bergen again next year.

Beautiful antique decorated charming hotel.  Lady bakes brownies every evening for guests smell like home.  Room is small but enough for a single person but very convenient location and beautiful neighborhood.  Also had snow and It was magical.

Hello from the United States.  We loved the Hotel Park Bergen.  It's a beautiful, quaint, relaxing place to stay.  We did not have a rental car but easily walked to other areas of Bergen.  We spent the day exploring Bergen, took the Fløibanen to Floyen and did the Hop-On-Hop-Off tour. Would definitely stay here again if we have the opportunity to visit Bergen again.

Designer look but friendly and feels like a comfortable home. Interesting antiques throughout. It felt like a place I could live. I’ve stayed in all types of accomodation in my life from Ritz to hostel, and this is close to the best.

Perfectly situated in an older area of Bergen surrounded by beautiful architecture, a park and an incredible view of the city. Easy walk to the wharf, shopping, dining. Everything. Incredible breakfasts in the quaintest of dining areas. Very friendly and helpful staff. Like most other hotels in Bergen, no air conditioning, but that didn’t prove an issue. Hotel is old and has its worn areas but that’s part of its charm. We’d  stay here again in a heartbeat.

Lovely historic hotel in ideal location: close to city center but outside its bustle. Comfortable, clean, updated. Delicious breakfast and atmosphere. Gracious owner & staff. And Bergen itself is so picturesque snd interesting, with lots to enjoy.

Charming hotel in a great location, far enough away from the Center to feel residential but close enough to walk to everything.  We arrived after 24 hours of travel and were allowed to check in to one of our 2 rooms while the other was still being cleaned.  Front staff was friendly and gave us a good recommendation for lunch.  The breakfast was smaller in scope than other Norwegian hotels but we found the quality to be superior.  Definitely recommend this hotel.

Charming hotel, in a great location.

Enjoyed staying in this pretty hotel, which also includes separate rooms in a building across the street. Staff was very friendly and the breakfast included a wonderful assortment of fresh locally-grown berries. It was fun to be in a residential neighborhood away from the tourist center, although this did mean a 10-15 minute walk to many of the attractions. The hotel is also located on a steep hill, which might be tricky for people with lots of luggage or with challenges walking. Light rail and/or the airport bus stops right down the street at the main bus station, and then there's a 6-minute walk up that hill. It was worth it, from my point of view. 

Friendly hotel in a pretty residential neighborhood

It's a prime location for views, up at the top of the very steep hill. The hotel itself is historic and so does feel a tiny bit dated. Still, the room was spacious with two comfy chairs for sitting and a desk and a comfortable bed. The bathroom shower was awful, as there was no rubber sweeper under the door and the water just poured out onto the floor. The staff person was so nice and gave us an excellent restaurant recommendation. The included breakfast was small, but nice, with the basics of fruit, yogurt, meats, cheese, and breads. 

Nice historic hotel

A simply marvelous victorian-style historic hotel (1890) that is incredibly aesthetically pleasing. Quaint does not even begin to describe it. A spiral staircase all the way up to the top. My room had skylights and huge windows all around so I could see the hills, neighborhoods, and streets of Bergen, as well as all the sparkling lights of the night sky. 

The bed was tremendously comfortable. The room was oh so quiet and peaceful. Lightning fast wi-fi. The brekkie had some delicious offerings, but gets very crowded, so get there early!

Close walking distance to the Bergen Harbor. My main reason for visiting was to take a fjord cruise. Very convenient location to the boat as well as the incredible fish market!!

They were very nice to hold my luggage after I checked out and order me a taxi when I needed to leave for the airport. I was really sad to leave Bergen so soon. I would absolutely stay here again!

True historic beauty in Bergen!

A nice historic, old hotel with great character and lovely art and furniture.  There are lots of stairs, no elevator so be prepared.  However, the wonderful staff helped us bring our suitcases up and down to our room.  The breakfast was great and plentiful and the bed comfortable.  Like most European hotels, our room was tiny for two of us but we didn't spend much time there. The staff was so friendly and helpful that it made our stay quite pleasant. 

Cozy, Comfortable with Helpful, Friendly Staff

I stayed here a few years ago and really liked it so didn’t hesitate about booking again and wasn’t disappointed.  This is a fantastic small personalised hotel in a lovely old building which does everything a hotel should do - so spotlessly clean rooms, very comfortable beds, everything you need in the room, great breakfasts with tons of choice and last but not least some of the best service from reception I’ve ever experienced.  Nothing is too much trouble and they use their initiative to help you rather than wait to be asked.  Eg we had a reLatively early flight so I asked how best to get to airport.  All the options were provided including the  timetable for that day for the airport bus and then she asked whether we’d like breakfast left in our room the night before as we’d otherwise miss our breakfast.  Location is perfect if you are going to a concert in the Grieghallen, just 5 mins walk.

Wonderful family style boutique hotel - good value and great service

HOTEL PARK in Bergen is a wonderful place. I am here on business and the hotel was chosen by the University in Bergen. And a good choice because I would recommend this anytime. A small family run hotel but yet you will hardly miss anything here. The view from my 3rd floor room facing North is astounding. The staff is very friendly. Everything is held nice and clan. My double room is not big but big enough and has everything you need. This place is not overfilled with useless things but has what you need and a little more. The beds are very conmfortable, wifi works fine and there is a minifridge and a water boiler + tea and coffee in thre room. Add to this that the brealfast restaurant is open for relaxatioin at all times and with free coffee and tea available. Breakfast itself starts already at 0630 (very good if you have a long day) and it is superb. One hot dish (scrambled eggs) and a variety of meats and a most wonderful cold smoked salmon. Goods bread, various jams, cheese etc etc. If yiou want a luxury ho´tel with dinner restaurant and bar and spa and pool and all that jazz. Fine. But if you need a good room with what should be there and a wonderful breakfast in a very nice and friendly setting. Choose this one. They deserve it!

A perfect Hotel in Bergen

This is the antithesis of chain hotels. It's family run, interestingly decorated and with individual very comfortable bedrooms (with outstanding pillows). Breakfast is generous, and tea/coffee and brownies are available all day. It's a bit of a walk uphill to the hotel from the city centre, but perfectly manageable. The name comes from the fact that it is located next to a lovely park, overlooking the sea (one word of warning: the park occasionally hosts rock concerts. From our room, the concert could not be heard - but it will have been very audible from others. Reasonable value for money - Norway is pricy. We would certainly recommend heartily

Charming and welcoming

Wonderful small hotel in very nice neighborhood in Bergen right next to a very nice park. The room was large and well appointed. The staff could not have been friendlier and more accommodating. There are restaurants, including take out, near by. The breakfast was very good as well. We took a cab from the airport but apparently it is fairly easy by public transportation. We left the next morning for a cruise which was a 5 minute cab ride away. Overall, we would stay there again happily.
