Fossli Hotel 

Staying at the Fossli Hotel was a great choice to see Vøringsfossen. Our balcony overlooked the Vøringsfossen canyon. We were able to hike around the falls after the tourist left and before they arrived. That access was why I chose the hotel for our stay near Vøringsfossen. It was the correct choice. The room was not large (no old hotels have large rooms) but it had a nice 2 person balcony with a good bathroom and very clean. It was the least expensive hotel room during our trip to Norway and worth every penny. Yes, it is a hotel that is over 125 years old, but it does have charm. It is also hard to keep up with some of the luxury historic hotels when it is only open from mid-May to mid-September; because after mid-September the water to the falls is diverted for power generation. The staff were very friendly and provided some extra information that only locals know. Dinner was also very good.
