Good camping near flekkefjord. The showers were new and clean. Everything Corona proof. The man at the reception was very helpful and when the weather is good there are some nice places to swim. Very quiet during the day. We had the misfortune to stay across some young people who planned a party in their parents caravan untill 2 AM with singing, screaming and loud music. 

Clean and good views

We saw this campsite from the road and its location impressed us. We drove up in the pouring rain and were shown the nearest spot, next to the road. The guy at reception did say we could have a look around to see if we preferred any spots but the rain was so heavy we accepted his first offer.

We paid 380 KR for the night (caravan, two adults and a baby), which we found to be ridiculously expensive for what's on offer. The showers hadn't been cleaned for ages, the washing up room was filthy, the electricity didn't work for our caravan and the guy at reception was totally unhelpful. He told us to use another electricity point, when we investigated further, we found the cutout switch had been switched off.

We asked him (guy at reception) if there was a communal area where we could eat a sandwich and he said no, but later on we discovered such a spot ourselves. I asked him how on earth anyone is supposed to open the heavy trash can and he responded with "it's really not that hard", scornfully. For 380 KR a night, you expect some service. 

Oh, and there were some lovelier camping spots closer to the second lake, but that was our own fault for not looking around.

Expensive for what's offered

It´s realitvely cheap to tent there and the facilities are clean altough it´s a bit worn. It´s a bit of a walk from some of the tentgrounds to the toilets, since most of the campingplace is made out of year-round camping wagons (There are a LOT of these and you kinda feel like you are in someones garden walking around - even in the public areas). The staff was friendly and helpful. The views from the campgrounds are really nice and it has a small beach. 

It´s a nice camping place if you need somwehere to stay near Flekkefjord

Our first impression wasn't a particularly good one, however, the helpfulness of the staff on site and subsequent discovery of perhaps the best spot on the whole site made our 3 day stay unforgettable.This is a busy site with mostly permanent pitches and it felt a bit cramped compared to other sites we had visited. We hadn't booked ahead (we had never needed to in our 2 week tour of Norway) and were initially offered a hard standing -not much good for a camper van and tent combo. The young guy in charge on the day was exceptionally helpful and directed us to a raised grass pitch with a view to die for over the swimming lake. We used this as a base to visit friends in nearby Flekkefjord and it was perfect for this. Toilet blocks etc were perhaps a little dated but were kept very clean and there was no shortage of hot water. Can't comment on the bar/restaurant as we didn't use it.
