Excellent location with a friendly staff.Great selection of breakfast

The Good:
Facilities: Laundry, ironing and a shared TV lounge (I didn't have the chance to use them but I saw others who did). Ping-Pong table on the lower floor.
The room: Nice, comfortable.
Kitchen: Shared and good.
Breakfast: Very good, good variety of food.
Cleanliness: Very clean.
Location: Good, 15 minutes drive from Alesund 1 minute from the main road.
Stuff: OK, nice welcome and that's it.
Free WiFi: Didn't use the free WiFi.
Parking: Free and plenty of it.

The bad: 
Student like facility, basic accommodation, good for a one night stay.
There is no elevator to the upper floor.
Value for money: Decent (not that close to Alesund so a little bit pricey).

You get a room that are divided into 3. Biggest is where you slepp; a sofa, 2 singel beds, 2 cairs and a desk. The sink is in the first part. In the last part you have a bathroom with a shower and toilet. The absolute minimum. Tv is in the reception. One can juse a smal kitchen to make food. Here is also fridge and frizer. The breakfast is bread, diffrent topping/spredding, milk, coffe, tea, youghurt. Nothing fancy, but one will not be hungry. One can play football, pool table and ping pong. It is close to a big shopping mall. Not to fare to drive to Ålesund. Cheap.

Good for one night travelers \ students

What one need

Our group of three stayed at Borg Bed and Breakfast for one night. Staff were very friendly and helpful - from check-in, providing local information and directions to checkout.

The property is student accommodation. That being said, there was good space in the room, albeit the bathroom is very small and operates as a wet room. A negative was the beds. My wife and I sucked it up sleeping in a twin (as they are located on each side of the room and no opportunity to push together), but the beds were small and a bit noisy - we didn't have the best nights sleep - but it was ok for one night only on our travels. 

Powerpoints in the room were hard to locate without moving things - putting a power board on the desk would be a great addition.

There were plenty of fresh towels readily available, access to a shared kitchen and the wi-fi signal was strong, free and perfect for our needs. There is car parking on site, but once you drop off your luggage, it is a short walk from the accommodation (we got pretty wet one day!).

Breakfast was basic, but sufficient including cereal, salads and smoked salmon. It is important to note that the property is located some distance from Alesund. A car is needed - we had a car and it worked ok.

Overall the accommodation was very basic, but suited our needs and may also suit yours if in the area for a short stay.

Student accommodation, but good for one-night stay

I made a reservation to this B&B in July 2012.

When I came to the location I found that this is not a B&B as we all think it is.

It is a school that is used in summertime to host visitors and offer them breakfast.

No more. We tried to look at one room. Two narrow single beds, in very small room. It is not as advertised.

We gave up. Sorry.

We visited there but...

It's nothing luxury nor cute but you get everything you need for a night, even a generous breakfast. Perfect for you that Norway has made poorer ;) The students at the reception could have been a bit nicer and more welcoming but it's just a detail.

Simple but enough 

The B&B is outside the city and ok for a night, but you can get MUCH nicer in the city of Ålesund for just a little more money. Would not stay there again. We had booked a double room. It was clearly a dorm room for 2 students, the beds were far apart, single beds. The shower and toilet were in the same room and so close that you could use both at the same time (not a compliment).
We slept ok and everything was clean, I just think that we could have gotten much more value for our money in another, more centrally located place. It was too expensive for what we got.
