Local cozy and warm cabin where you are connected to the nature with outdoor toilet in winter and summer I recommend it so strongly with nice and kind lady welcoming you next morning for not included breakfast.

Room and amenities were very good. I would stay away from the breakfast, not much offered. Everything else was completely satisfactory

This property was perfect for our needs. Very simple, very clean, very affordable, and the staff was very friendly.

Some huts lovely.  One out of 2 had  a bit small bedroom.Perfect for solo, brilliant. Great wash room, drying room and showers and reception restaurant.Perfect for me.

It was great place to have a time with family. Very clean and convenience!!

We rented a cabin for a short stay alaong the road in the summer holiday. We also rented bed  linen. The cabin was nice, practical and clean. It is not far from local groceries stores and the children loved the nearby playground. A recommendable place for families.

Price well accommodated our budget, and our cottage was everything we needed! 
We had basic kitchen facilities in our cottage as well as full access to a shared main kitchen, bathroom and sauna.
The hosts are very friendly and accommodating! Would highly recommended 😊

I stayed at Øen Turistsenter for five nights in February 2025. The Customer Service was excellent, including one of the staff helping me with the washing machine, my Hytte was warm and breakfast great. 

Only drawback going outside to the loo at night and to wash. Otherwise I have no complaints at all, and I would recommend Øen Turistsenter to anyone I know who would like to visit Geilo.

We rented a cabin for a short stay during the 17th of May national holiday. We took with us our own bedding instead of renting. The cabin was average in size for a small kitchen, 2 bedrooms and living room, but had vaulted ceilings which made it feel more spacious. It was clean as well. It was en easy walk to the stores, movie theaters, etc. The walls were a bit thin, but our neighbors were pretty quiet. However, you could hear them talk if they used a normal to loud voice. Price was very competitive for the area. Would stay here again - recommended.

Great Customer Service, great value for money- would recommend to anyone wanting to visit Geilo.

Stayed there 4 days at the end of March 2017 for Red Bull Ragnarok
Very pleased with the comfort and quality of the cabin. 
The cabin was small but had plenty of room for two people.
The staff was Friendly.

Good value

Cozy little cabins a couple of kilometers from downtown/the skiresort. What they lack for in luxury, they make up for in soul, and low budget. 

Could probably have needed an upgrade by now, but alas, it is what it is. Plus for ability to cook yourself, nice sofa-area in cabins, and great views. 

Oh, good service. Easy-going things like ‘can we check out at 3 instead...sure!’ makes all the difference sometime. Would stay here again. 

Small, but nice

Rather bad hotel, the receptionist was very young and didn't know much and when he was supposed to answer a question he went in the back to "ask someone" and never came back! Way to expensive for a room barely bigger than the bed. The kitchen and toilet are dirty and it smells absolutely terrible because of all the smoke. Wouldn't want to go barefoot in the bathroom. The "sauna" is small and nasty and the Jacuzzi doesn't work. Also no wifi in the rooms. 

Don't go

Different type of cottage has quite different equipment and price. Our cottage is 17 quite large and has 1 bedroom, bathroom and full-set kitchen (although we didn't cook).  However, we had to paid for sheet and towel.

Stayed here for one night with my husband and we got a very small & expensive room. We had to take as we were very tired and need a place to sleep. We only rent the bedroom and the rest of the apartment we had to share it with others. Not really worth the money, unless you need a place to crash..
