51 reviewsEnter. Relax. Breathe, this place is a small, familyrun Mountain hotel/Lodge 7 minutes off the main road. Not pricy at all, very cozy rooms, and it's genuine through and through. The family that runs it have owned the farm since the mid 18th century (1760), and have run the hotel sice the 1960's. They are mountaineers themselves, and can arrange guided hiking tours for you or give you great tips for your next hikes. Great food, awesome location, quiet, cozy, great decor, great breakfast, the bread was soo good, and the coffee is wonderful, all good things. It was such a great place to be, we did Jacuzzi and benchpresses in the gym, too! A good starting point for all your hikes and excursions. Beware of Salto, the family herding dog:-) He will find you, and he might try to herd you, or monitor your safe departure😆 We will return soon to this place.

A very nice place to stay for a reasonable price - hotel «Grønolen Fjellgard» is located in Heggenes. This hotel is located in 16 km from the city center.
At the hotel
You can stop by the bar. Taste the local cuisine and have a rest in the restaurant. If you travel by car, you can park in a parking zone for free. The following services are also available for the guests: a massage room, a sauna and a steam bath.
Guests who love doing sports will be able to enjoy a fitness center. For winter sports fans, the following services are available: a skiing area, a ski school and ski-to-door access.
