If someone can ruin a Halibut, these guys can do it. 
The start was ok with the reservation , but a mix up when seated gave us a bad location , and when we asked for a better seating we was denied allthough there was plenty of free seats. That is somerhing that I can live with, so we went on with ordering a Cod plate and a Halibut after the splendid shared mussels that was awsome as a starter. As wine we orfered a gamay grape and a beaujolais that sounded as a god combo to The Halibut upon a risotto mix. That sounded interesting but turned out to be a catastrophic choice. My wifes Cod was better but not as good as the price level expectations. That Halibout was dry and over cooked and the risotto should not have earned its name after that italian delicasy. As a result of this there was no tip given, nor avec or dessert ordered. Michael.

Ikke bra(not good, tourist trap)

This was our first meal out, after 10 days in Norway. Our expectations were high - and we were not disappointed.
The staff were spot on - first class, attentive but discrete service.
The fish soup was excellent - though very creamy and rich. Really well done, though I don’t think I’d have coped with a main course portion.
For mains I had the cod and Debs the monkfish - both of which were cooked to perfection, with a good selection of extras. In particular the duxelle, kale and samphire were delicious.
Debs had a dessert, which wasn’t great. Her sorbet was excellent, but the sweet croutons and cake let the side down.
The fish was the star attraction - altogether an excellent meal.

Great fish!

We came without a reservation and the waitress found us a table. We had fish soup, which was absolutely delicious and the portion quite big. We also trier the crème brûlée, which was amazing. And a very nice service, quick. Totally recommend it!

Recommended, the food was great and the service good, also the building is being renovated soon so it will be even nicer.

Great food and good service.

The restaurant is very well located and we had a nice view of the little harbour.
The waitress was very nice and explained the meals to us.
We had the fish soup (cod) which was a blast, then cod with potatoes and vegetables and a great sauce, and finally the moelleux, which was as good as the rest.
A great moment! It's a little pricy but it's norwegian prices for a very good restaurant with good view, and we were far from hungry when we got out.

Fantastic meal

Had a fantastic dinner at this restaurant together with my bether half. Had a starter with the restaurants feamous fishsoup (i reccomend this to everyone) and the whale ham (the best whalemeat or meat you will ever eat. Had a bacalao for dinner, it was very good! When in Vågan or Lofoten, go here!

Best Seafood in henningsvær
