The Ble Fjellstue was the best surprise in Norway. It is a little difficult to find, far from the main road and from the nearet town, at the top of a hill. The first impression is not so good, but everything changes after a few minutes. The owner, Ingar, personaly take care about everything, and he's very friendly and helpful. During the meals, even at the breakfast, he fully dresses as a chef. The breakfast was very good, complete, with an excellent homemade bread. The view from the hotel is amazing, and there is even an wood-fired hot tub. The only thing that was not so good was the shower, but the bathroom has underfloor heating.

Best surprise in Norway

Execellent place to be with friends and family for a quality weekend, eating wery tasty local food, homemade! The owner is the chef! We were 40 adults and children, age 3-82 years, and hired the whole place for the weekend. Nice area also for a mountain walk for all ages. Only 90 min. from Oslo with car, 25 km from Kongsberg and trainstation. A winner in this area.

I've been in this lodge several times during my 1 near in Norway, and although I stayed in the place rather bussiness purposes than holiday, I felt like I'm on vacation. Finding the place at first is not really easy, especially in the winter, because it's up in the mountains, a few miles from the main road. My first impression wasn't good, but after the very warm welcome of the owner, the view from the place, the fact that the lodge is far from any civilization, and the diligence of the owner, who woke up every morning and baked fresh bread for the breakfast, and prepared everything for the guest made me feel like I'm not a guest of a hotel, but a rarely seen relative of the host. Having my breakfast outside, in front of the lodge, far from the town, just a very great feeling. If someone is around the area, instead of using any bigger hotel in Kongsberg, I suggest just stay here, won't regret.
