We had a nice stay in Dyreparken Hotel. Room was nice and comfortable. The only thing we didnt like much are the food in the Dyreparken Hotel restaurant. They have this A la carte food and only few choices are there. On our first day there, I ordered a chicken but its not thoroughly cook,it still has blood on it. The good thing is they fixed it and I got a new meal with the same order. But overall,our stay are fantastic.We enjoyed much there.

Spend the day at Dyreparken. Check in @6PM children were almost full of experiences. Is it possible to make it more enjoyable??? Yes, you did. Please

We have been for weekend at this hotel!It is a great location for children but for adults also!You can finde everything you need!Breakfeast buffet it’s great and the dinner buffet it’s amazing!We will come back for sure as soon as we can!Congratulations to all there!

We had an amazing experience. I will definitely be back. We were disappointed that the breakfast wasn't a buffet style breakfast. That was the only disappointment because I wanted an extra plate of food😀. Overall a wonderful experience. That's the only reason I didn't give 5 stars.. The breakfast.

Very nice and cosy room. Two double beds for 2 adults and a preteen. One of the double beds folds nicely into a sofa, so more space if needed.
The hotel has its own entrance to both parks so very convenient. You need to book early as hotel fills up very quickly.

Great Fammili Resort wie cool Zoo Atmosphere all around, small but well equipet nice clean rooms. Well Breakfeast, friendly Staff. around 12 Minutes far from Airport. Big Parking lot in front of the building.

Dyrepaken hotell is located just outside the main gate to the park, and even has access via a side gate one hour before official morning opening. Very good. The receptionist staff was effective and very nice. Breakfast, which is good, is usually not included in the room rate, costing about 200NOK (2019) for adults and half for kids. The main bed was very good and two kids slept well on the extra one.Free parking close to both the hotell and the park entrance. Cheaper hotels are available in the city, but further away from the park.

Stayed for one night with our two year old daughter. We got free parking for two days since we spent the days at the zoo.
Everything looked new, modern and jungle-ish :)
The staff was really nice and helpful. 
Our room was a bit small and didn't have any closets etc to put our stuff in, but for one night - who cares :P
The bathroom was was nice and clean.
The breakfast was top notch!
Will absolutely stay here the next time we'll visit Dyreparken Zoo!

Fantastic vacation

The Dyreparken Hotel is family friendly, located 13km from Kristiansand and belongs to a zoo & fantasy park for kids. The hotel was built in 2001 and offers 51 double rooms & 107 four-bed rooms over 4 floors. The hotel is decorated with African safari items. You need a car to reach the hotel. Service is friendly.

Our room was small, modestly decorated and furnished, with an acceptable twin-bed. The tiny separate bathroom had washbasin, toilet and shower. Free Wi-Fi Internet. Window can be opened. All was clean.

In the ‘Safari’ restaurant an OK buffet breakfast is served: eggs, cold cuts & cheeses, bread & toast, cereals, fruit, milk & yoghurts, fruit juices & preserves, rolls & croissants, vegan & gluten free Items, water, tea & coffee.

The Dyreparken hotel is fine when you fancy a stay with kids at a fantasy park and when you have a car. Otherwise, you find better options in Kristiansand.

For staying with kids at the fantasy park

We had a room with double bed and an extra bed for one of our kids. The room was tiny and had no place four our luggage leaving no room for our feets inside the room. You would probably say: not going to stay there much as most of the time we would be inside the park, but for our case we needed a mid day break, and the park closed at 8pm so we got a lot of time at the room. The bathroom is outdated and water flooded all over the floor when taking a shower. They did not change our towels "due to covid..." And "due to covid..." We also had to book a time for breakfast ahead of time. The room price is stiff, but if the price had reflected the standard it would been great. Nice staff, nice and clean, good food, great to be this close to the park. Barely Recommended Hotel
