We have been to the apartment number 7 and it has been a great experience.
Beautiful Place to stay, 3 tables, confortable sofa.
The host was kind and the kitchen well furnished.
Nice view to the sea and great swim there.

I'd recommend It.

p.s. bring your own blankets, if not you will need to pay 150kr per person.

Great place, beautiful apartment

We decided to stay at Mones to split the drive between Stavanger and Oslo. Price and photos were ok so we booked through hotel booking website.
Motel is sandwiched between the motorway and the like, but due to the vegetation and the fact all rooms face lakeside, traffic noise is minimal. Our unit consisted of 2 bedrooms (one with 2 single beds and one with 3 bunk beds), dining room/kitchenette, toilet and patio. Motel grounds are nicely landscaped and view from the room is very tranquil. It is not a full service motel so for check-in/out and other issues one needs to go to the gas station next door (which also have grocery/convenience store). There is free internet throughout and it was fast enough for Netflix. 

So it would be rather nice place to stay, except the following issues:
- no air conditioning (not that we expected one but if it is hot in summer be prepared for the room to be very hot).
- curtains were almost transparent and didn’t block any light - in country where it can be light throughout the night, this is inexcusable omission - i was able to fall asleep only around midnight, when it became at least semi-dark.
- when we arrived there was enough hot water in the shower for only one person! After that hot water ended, and 2 other people were left without shower. To be fair, there was more hot water in the morning.
- motel charges NOK 150 per person for bed sheets. I as not initially aware of this, but person doing check-in pointed my attention to the small print at the end of page 2, which indeed said so. Should it have brought to our attention properly, we would have never chosen this motel, as bedsheet charges made our stay instantly 50% more expensive. We would submit complaint to UK Competition and Markets authority.

This motel is ok as long as one is ok with the issues above. I personally would not stay there again.


Great landscaping, sleepless night and hidden charges

Fristly - charging 5NOK for the toilet for guest is an awful way to welcome guests. 

I do not expect much having dinner on-the-road, but this was below what you can expect for 170NOK. 

We had steak and gravy, chinese chicken and meat balls. 
 Meatballs was the best, but why it took 15 min beats me.
