We were extremely fortunate to find this place and stay here. We had the whole house to ourselves and had just been lucky that there was a one night gap between bookings which are normally for a two night minimum. It sleeps nine. Very good showers and toilets upstairs and down. Fully equipped kitchen. Everything is very clean and comfortable. The house has history and the host/Owner Gunnar is a joy. Easy to talk to, gregarious and nothing is too much trouble. Gunnar grew up in this house. Ask Gunnar about the house's history and the origins of the poetry behind glass on the lounge wall. The walls have all been stripped back to their original state and whilst it may look a little rustic, it is very comfortable and has a quirkiness that we loved. The property is on a small farm and Gunnar runs sheep there. I read a review where Gunnar was happy to allow some children bottle feed lambs. The price is very reasonable for what you get. Bergen is just a short an hour's easy drive away and Gunnar seems happy to advise on things to do. An unexpected Gem in the middle of the Norwegian countryside. The beds were very comfortable and we slept well.We really loved it and couldn't recommend it highly enough.
