Whilst living in Norway we spent many Christmas vacations at this campsite. We cannot recommend the place highly enough, it is well positioned with skiing just up the road, cutting down your own Christmas tree was a real treat

We were in Norway for two weeks. We stayed at four different locations, and this was definitely the best. We were with four in a cottage that was suited for eight people, so we had all the space we wanted. I think the cottage is still pretty comfortable even when there are eight people. There is enough space to put your suitcases and everything else you might need. The kitchen has everything you can think of, and the bathroom is nice. There is sauna, but we didn't use it. Only thing we missed in the bathroom was a curtain, since the neighbours could look straight into our bathroom. The bed was the best I had this holiday. There is free wifi available. The cottage was nice and clean when we arrived, and so were the bed linen and the towels. We didn't meet any of the personnel, but we could find our cottage without problems and the bed linen was already available. We were with four adults, but I think Vrådal Hyttegrend is also suited for families with small children (we saw a playground close to our cottage). To top it all off, we had a great view from the porch where we could see some beautiful sunsets.

In the category cottages in Norway this is a great location to stay a few days. Almost at the end of our roadtrip in Norway we stayed here for 3 nights. The cottages do have all you need: dishwasher, oven, spacious fridge incl. freezer, sauna, weber bbq, fire place (you can get free firewood) etc. too much to list here. We stayed in cottage #11, but think all cottages are almost the same. Besides all of this you have a great view facing the lake. And on top of all that they have very good and fast wifi.
We stayed in the cotatge with the 2 of us, but you could easily stay there with 4 adults and 4 children. It has 4 rooms: 2 with twinbeds and 2 with bunkbeds.
You could rent a boat for 100NOK per day or 400NOK per week to explore the lake.

There is not a awful lot to do in the area, but would recommend a 1-2hr hike to the Venelifjellet. And visit the touristinfo in Vradal. Definitely worth a visit.

We stayed in Cabin 12 this Christmas just gone (22-28th Dec). It was absolutely wonderful and would certainly stay there again. We flew into Oslo airport, from which the cabins are 3 1/2 - 4 hours away in the car. Although a bit of a drive, all the roads are in good condition and Vradal is easy to find. The cabins themselves are around 2km from the town centre (an easy walk through the woods or along the roadside). Upon arrival the cabin was immaculate and there was more than enough space for 5 of us. The heating is very effective - we were never cold even in the -17 degree weather!! There's also a charming woodburner in each cabin which provides more than enough heat.

The bathroom was clean and spacious, with the hot water pressure being fantastic. We found that 4 people could shower comfortably one after the other before the hot water started to run out. Leaving the system for 30 mins or so was more than enough time to allow it to heat up again. The sauna was a lovely addition that we took advantage of as well!

The kitchen is small however we still managed to cook large dinners. All the appliances (including dishwasher) were modern and immaculate

Our cabin had a large entrance room for snow boots, jackets, skis etc which was really useful in keeping the rest of the floors dry. 

Overall these cabins were absolutely fantastic and very reasonably priced for the quality of accommodation. The views over the lake are stunning! Our family friends stayed in Cabin 1 which was very similar and were equally as pleased. The lovely owners took us to cut down a Christmas tree in the woods to decorate our cabin. Thank you for such a wonderful stay!

This year my wife and i finally made a tour of Norway. Our last three nights in a Comfort Hytte was in Vradal Hyttegrend. As far as the landscape is concerned we were pretty spoiled i guess and we did not expect a lot of ooohs and aahs. But, again, we were wrong. Telemark in summer as well, is as beautiful you can get. E.g. We had a magnificent walk to Venelifjellet. The first part by car ofcourse, but the walk starting at the parking is truly great. As for the hytter. We had the last hytte next to the adventurous nature trail. We fell in love with it. An incredible view on the lake and the Great mountains more south from the veranda. The hytte had everything you could want. We enjoyed the sauna. And we really appreciated the free wood for the hearth. Great place to stay. 

Stayed here for a week, my son and I in a cabin that could sleep 8. Well equipped, great views and well positioned for the lower part of the country. The site owners were very helpful and the local shop was really well stocked and friendly. 
Although a little expensive for just the two of us, if you fill it with 6 or 8, it’s great accommodation with views you could just watch all day.
