What a great little place this is - we really enjoyed our stay. The property is located on a small island just over a bridge from Svolvaer - it's an easy walk into the central part of town. We booked a Rorbu Cabin S+ and were given cabin 22. On check in, we were told this is probably the best cabin on the whole property because it has a view of the mountains and the water. I couldn't have agreed more. The view from the cabin was outstanding. The cabin itself was so cozy, with a big, modern bathroom, and clean, simple furniture throughout. The curtains in the bedroom did a good job blocking the midnight sun. It was also equipped with a full kitchen though we did not make use of it. Breakfast was good with a number of classic items on offer. Staff were professional but most were not overly friendly. We had dinner at Borsen Spiseri - the food was good but quite simple. Prices are exorbitant which we quickly found seems to be everywhere in Lofoten. Overall, we would not hesitate to return to Svinoya and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
