I do not understand the bad reviews of this hostel. We loved it so much. 6 min walking distance to the center. A bus stop 5-6 min walk from the hostel to go to other islands/airport/mountain etc. Very clean. Beds super comfortable. Good heating for the the cold. Big windows with good lighting. Small area with coffe/hot chocolate/tea/cookies 24/7. They have hair drier that can be borrowed from reception. They help you find whatever you are looking for in Tromso and give you plenty of recommendations. The receptionist are super lovely, specially Andrea she went far and beyond to make our stay wonderful. And people who complain about the price 1) if it's booked last minute of course it will be more expensive it's common sense and 2) it's Norway, a coffe cost me 7 pounds, what do you expect? 🤣. We honestly were surprised by the low price compared to the rest of accomodations in Tromso
