A stunning location and easy to get to with the ferry stopping right outside. An interesting place to stay with amazing hosts! The local area is beautiful and would highly recommend getting the ferry from Utne to Kinsarvik and seeing the Husedalen Valley waterfalls!

Stayed here as a stopover driving south. Really cute place in a converted bank. Large rooms that retain a lot of the original decor and communal kitchen. Place was clean and tidy. Shared bathrooms but only a small number of guests so this was not an issue. Nice views from the window of the fjord where you can watch the ferry's come and go.

I very much liked the feel of the Hardingart Guesthouse, which was welcoming, clean, and artistic. The kitchen downstairs was useful and the staff were welcoming and patient when I arrived well after check-in due to a snowy storm along the route from Oslo.  Would stay again.  Would bring grocery bag of food though, because the town has very limited options after 5 or 6pm for even being able to buy some crackers and cheese, let alone a hot dinner.

Hardingart is a former bank, transformed in an art gallery + guesthouse in the lovely village of Utne.
We spent 2 wonderful days there, the bedroom was huge, very comfy and cosy and the view on the fjord and the snowy mountains was gorgeous!
The whole building is decorated with interesting works of art, which creates a great atmosphere.

There's no breakfast or any food service (they are about to set it up) but there is a grocery next door and you can use the kitchen facilities.

Practical info : it is opposite the ferry (from Kvandal or Kinsarvik)
deck and next door to the great Hardanger Folkemuseum.
