Mini Motel Valderøy

We are a French Canadian couple and we travelled all around Scandinavia during 2 months mid August till mid October 2015. We reserved and used 24 lodgings during this trip.
It is a very small motel in a building of 8 units behind the airport hotel. 
Positive: good bathroom with space to put our things, small but comfortable, micro-wave, fridge, free WiFi and parking, good food at the restaurant of the hotel. There is a grocery store at the terminal: very convenient
Negative: only two single little beds, no stove, far from city center

This was a perfect base for my 5 night stay exploring this area. The layout of the room worked well for a small space and the addition of a fridge and a microwave was great, there was even a table and chair outside.  The hotel it is adjacent to (you check in there)  has a restaurant and also a supermarket which made things really convenient.

Good if you go to the airport

Perfect base for one person!

The price was very good. The rooms were small but clean and tidy. Hot shower was very good. We chose it because we arrived very late by plane.

We told the motel beforehand (twice) our arrival time at 2230-2300 but our flight was delayed for one hour so when we arrived, it was 2330. The hotel probably didn't check the flight status so when we arrived, the entrances were shut and the staff was off. We called several times but no one answered. We also checked our SMS and email but there was no message left. Worrying that we might have nowhere to stay that night, we managed to get inside the hotel only to find that everything including the reception was closed and no message was left for us. After about 30 min, we finally reached the staff by phone and was told that the keys were left somewhere at the front door. 

The arrangement can be better: (a) if there is instruction for late comers in the email confirmation, or (b) if the staff can check the flight status and wait for us, or (c) if the staff can answer the phone promptly, or (d) if the staff can send us a message on that day.

Close to the airport

Room is very very small. There is only two beds, nothing else can be add coz of space. Toilet also small. Big adventage is market 20m from here cafeteria and bus station to airport. U cant go for a walk because you are like in "nowhere". There is nothing else near.
